It seemed odd to me that Miguel was pretty quiet about Rebecca going off to a movie or leaving at all on Thanksgiving Day. Randall was the one calling her on the phone to check on her rather than Miguel. Miguel lives with her. He has to have noticed her forgetfulness unless he's just in denial. Still, it seems odd that he wouldn't say anything when she decided to leave.
Maybe Kate was concerned that Toby might later find out about the avocado from the neighbor in passing conversation. However, I lean more towards "well, I'm sorry, but you're gone all the time working out, so you missed it".
I'm not crazy about where the storylines are going right now. This season felt like more work to watch than it was entertaining for me.

I think they are writing it with the perspective that he is kind of in denial as Rebecca has been.

In the first flash forward scene where they showed grown up Tess and the nursing home (or whatever) isn’t Toby depressed?

Miguel is extremely underrated. I’ve noticed they haven’t delved into his marriage life back when he was younger and working with Jack. I know he got divorced, but I think his wife was only in one episode where she had lunch with Rebecca.

Does anyone actually think a guy who is well known, wealthy and good looking would really struggle being able to find a date? If "Hall pass" didn't chicken out he could've gotten into Sophia's Bush.
