There is a magical thing that happens when you come to the realization that no one is "forcing" you to care. You achieve a sense of serenity like no other. You can enjoy going to the movies and discussing them at a level beyond "oh noz, the movie review aggregator website is showing 90 percent of critics like this movie...but the movie looks 'woke', ergo there must be a conspiracy out to get me."

The M/TV board held out as a quality board longer than most. For quite a long time there was mostly good discussions on movies and television. But in the long run, it has succumbed to the poli-board people who only care about their political ideology.

I miss when they stayed on the Poli Board and we could make fun of them on the other boards. Now they’ve pretty much taken over the other boards and it’s hard to have a rational discussion about anything anymore.

Not really sure there’s a bit more pandering but it overall it’s just the PT tards leaking over that cry anytime something different pops up. It’s the reason you see shitty YouTube videos are used as inside sources and why Critical Drinker gets posted here so many times when there’s way better reviewers out there

I’m not even defending the movie but it seems that the general audience liked the movie and it’s also getting strong reviews from critics. Seems like it’s actually a good movie but you of course focus on stupid shite like the race of characters and pitch a fit

Again, it’s bc today’s movies/shows focus on “stupid shite” like the race of characters. Race and gender and all that stupid shite is the paramount concern of your people. It’s an obsession. It’s all we ever hear about.
