How did the prisoner become infected? They said he had no bites or scratches ? What did I miss?
They all carry the virus.
So that means, no matter what, the zombie population all over the world will keep growing.

Maybe a couple of prison episodes. I'm hoping that's how they go, but this thread makes it seem they won't.
I think you're just lookin to complain. If you are this sensitive to possible spoilers, you shouldn't read anything on any show ever. First, this is a tremendously minor spoiler to something ACTUALLY SHOWN on the show. Secondly, the TV show hasn't remotely followed the books, so no one has any idea how long the show will spend at the prison. Since its the final shot of Season 2, clearly longer than an episode or two, but who knows, really?
I have little patience for those who feel any discussion of any piece of art is a spoiler. If you feel that way, don't engage in the discussion at all. I understand the basic consideration of not spoiling major plot points for people, but the anti-spoiler absolutist I find to be far more irritating than the people who spoil things. There is a middle ground, which the anti-spoiler people refuse to recognize.
The final lingering shot of a season tends to be important.

Thank you
The final five minutes of the season will set the tone for the next season.
The building shown at the end.
A safe-house? A prison? A fort? Safe? Infested? Herd?
Bad-arse with Zombie Slaves? Zombie Slaves? A sword?
So much to talk about hell all we will be talking about. And people are calling it a spoiler.

I read somewhere that they were having trouble finding a prison in GA to shoot. I don't know where they ended up finding.
Posted on 3/19/12 at 11:03 pm to ATLwreck
the rustling sound they heard could have been andrea and/or michonne catching up to them, but I believe it was the sound of something clinking like a chain link fence around a prison.
heres a spoiler I read today they are bringing back a zombie otis. Oh wait he had his arms pulled off, face ripped off, and guts pulled out. Guess you can't believe all spoilers you hear or read about.

I think we could all form a pretty educated opinion. I think we already know what the last shot of next season is going to be.

Im surprised you feel that way B. I've read most of the comics, and I'm in the anti-spoiler camp.

You are quite welcome.
And y'all were wondering earlier if women watch this show. Yep.
I love all zombie stuff. Books, movies, the comics - all of it. I could never get my sorority sisters to watch movies with me and I was always the odd one out when swapping books. I want the undead and weapons and end of the world. Screw "The Notebook" crap.
And yep - women hate Lori, too.

That's................hot.
Wanna go out sometime?

Even in a non spoiler thread? I just don't see why everyone feels the need to post spoilers when the first post in the thread clearly says no spoilers.

I get that you don't like spoilers BUT

Also, I just realized that Enigma's "hypothetical guess/speculation" as to what Jenner told Rick was 100% spot fricking on. Shocker.
Jenner and the CDC are not in the comics and I read spoilers and didn't find that plotline as confirmed in spoilers.
But it was discussed as potential spoilers. And the whole "we're all infected" thing is in the comics (and I haven't ever taken "Zombie 101"). Enigma was making his "speculative guesses" based on what he KNEW from spoilers and the comics. That's the difference.

Well that's just bullshite reasoning right there...there are specific threads created for spoilers that haven't happened on the show yet. There are lots of people who haven't read ahead and don't want to know what is coming down the pipe. But frick us for not wanting to know, right? And we should just not even read discussion created for the show only (no spoilers)? That's bullshite and you know it, B.
quote:
Secondly, the TV show hasn't remotely followed the books
That's not true either. The first two seasons have been "Oh, they finally got to the farm" or "They're finally making Andrea more badass like in the comics" or "Carl finally got Rick's hat and he's starting to becomd a badass" or "They're all infected...just like in the books" or "Shane turns into a zombie...like in the comics" or "Carl shoots Shane like in the comics" or "Oh, there's the prison...finally" or "Oh, that's Michonne the sword chick from the books" or countless other examples.
Just because the show isn't following the comics letter by letter, that doesn't change the fact that one is undoubtedly source material for the other.
It's bullshite that people who already know what's gonna happen can't stop themselves from dropping hints in the threads NOT MEANT for that kind of discussion (and shite, even saying things outright at times). People who haven't read ahead don't want to know future things, and that's very fair. It's not like this is a spoiler threads...this is episode discussion of things on the show, and yet the future information can't stop filling these threads and leading to these arguments every week. It just seems like people like Enigma* simply can't not post that kinda shite in here. It's ridiculous.
* And I know I keep going back and forth with Enigma, but that's because he's the most glaring example...I have no problems with him outside of these TWD threads. There are others who have read ahead but are respectful enough to keep their "speculation" in the other threads (since it's not really just merely speculation).

The mere act of talking about it is a spoiler. You have to engage in some sort of "spoiling" to thoughtfully engage any film or TV show. This isn't a "Walking Dead" issue, it's an issue in culture in general. Anti-spoiler people have become messianic and beyond irritating to me.
Yes, you should not spoil big twists and major plot points. Everyone agrees on that. It's common courtesy. but no, I could give less of a crap about minor spoilers. If knowing the setting spoils things, then you were just looking to be offended. And I have no patience or sympathy for that.
It's as if one side demands courtesy without giving any. It's a two way street.

Seems like your que to leave the thread would have been the first post, since it clearly said no spoilers. Why talk to people you dispise?

And that is your opinion. Apparently the OP felt stongly enough to mention it in his first post that he did not want them.

WTF? What courtesy is to be given when none is received? I don't see the non spoiler crowd shitting on the spoiler threads
Posted on 3/20/12 at 7:45 am to Baloo
I could not disagree with more on just about all of that. Talking about things that happened on the show and only the show is completely different than adding in future knowledge of what happens in the comics or what was seen/read in spoiler threads/sites/etc.
The problem with this show, as opposed to others, is that there is source material out there that the show is based upon. So there is that chance of knowing what is coming. You say the anti spoiler people (I am assuming me, since I am one of the msot outspoken) are messianic and irritating. Well, I contend that the discussion keeps getting bigger and bigger because it continues to happen from the spoiler crowd. You say that you don't give a crap about minor spoilers. That's fine and good, but what if the rest of us do? You say big spoilers or plot points shouldn't be revealed, but they have been. Far too regularly. The common courtesy you mention isn't being followed, and that's why the "irritating, messianic, anti-spoiler people" are bitching. And it's valid in a thread like this (where spoilers shouldn't come into play at all, let alone any "minor" or "major" label).
This makes no sense at all to me. All we want is future things to not be discussed in here. What courtesy are we not extending?

I do agree with Cocomo that Enigma largely has crossed the line of spoilers. I'm talking about whining about people talking about the prison. Even if you had never read the comics, you have seen TV before. If a prison is the final establishing shot of a season, chances are pretty good the prison is pretty damn important going forward or else they wouldn't have closed the season on that note. Complaining about that as a "spoiler" is absurd. And I have little patience for it.
I think they are things in the comic you clearly shouldn't talk about, and I haven't. As they are major spoilers. But I don't care about minor spoilers, and this extends to all pieces of art. You can't talk about any piece of art without minor spoilers, as you have to talk content.
I have not said it's okay to spoil whatever. I said you should use common courtesy. But I think the demands of the anti-spoiler crowd go beyond courtesy and into fanaticism. It cripples debate. For example, the writers threw in the line "The Governor called" intentionally. That means something. To expect people to at least not make note of it is just stifling the discussion. It's not a spoiler so long as you don't go into actual plot. But the line actually happened on the actual show, it is fair game to specualte if it means something or is just a nod and a wink to the comics.

So why can't their be two threads, one for TV people and one for the comic readers?

Maybe I am alone on this, but I couldn't care less about spoilers.

I agree with Baloo. People were bitching that mentioning Michonne's name and gender were spoilers. Really?

I think the point is why mention it if it is not mentioned in the show? This was supposed to be a non spoiler thread. I agree that it doesn't change anything, but why mention it?
