I was kinda surprised that they (Gov) just jumped in with the whole "Everybody turns when they die" thing for Michonne/Andrea. Seems like they would've dragged that out a bit more.
Don't get me wrong, I'm glad they didn't, because this show has enough things that drag along. But I was surprised he just straight up told them.

Just so we're clear....
The first two seasons were approximately 2 months?
Then they separated for about 8 months
Season three starts off 10 months into the Zombie fest?

Something like that... it's supposed to be 7-8 months after Season 2 ends.

I'd say it has to be longer than that (based on relationships forming/growing, injuries healing - like Carl's gunshot, etc.).

That seems about right. But I think they've said "8 months" a couple of times so far. I'd say more than 6, less than 10 from when last season ended.

So basically...

See, I think it was longer than that. Maybe not though...I really have no idea.
Based on her pregnancy...assuming she was around a month pregnant last season (two tops), and she's about to burst now; that's around 7-8 months. Like Boo said.

1) TSHTF, big time.
2) Latching onto the Alpha male is a survival instinct, what better way to ensure that he protects her and Carl than fricking him?
A submissive (kinda) person like Lori would view Andrea and Amy as competition for the Alpha. It's all primal instinct, latch onto the strong and survive.

And it's not like they just met, they'd known each other for years. I'm surprised it took that long

Not to mention that she knew Shane for a long time. And most importantly, she honestly believed her husband was dead. Shane too. That's why I don't fault either of them for doing it. Now, handling it how they did once Rick came back is a different story, but even Rick knew what was up and wasn't really upset with either one of them when he first found out.
As much as I hate Lori, it's not for getting with Shane.

Something that annoyed me: *spoilers from the episode ahead*:
Maybe it is just me, but did it feel like The Governor was evil for the sake of being evil? I already knew he would be the villain based on the trailer, but I thought they would allow you to understand his side, instead of how they introduced him the way they did. I am probably getting ahead since it is only the 3rd episode in the season, but the writing has been annoying me these last two episodes. Seriously, out of all the townspeople, no one questioned why all of the those trained soldiers were "bitten" yet had all of there guns and supplies perfectly in tact and only a day went by? Maybe it is explained later, but it annoys me now.

I mean I "get it"
But really Lori? You're getting beast fricked out in the grass by your husband's best friend. The grieving process only takes a month (regardless of how fricked this situation is). Im not saying she couldnt move on. Im not saying if 10 months passed there's anything wrong with hooking up. But damn...Like I said in the other TWD thread...Lori enjoyed the sex, like she wanted to screw Shane for a long time (before the zombies showed up)

Not sure how long... Rick obviously woke up not too long after the shite went down or he'd have died already from dehydration / starvation. Then he made his way all the way down to Atlanta, how knows how long that took him? Then at most a month went by during season 2.

Shane definitely did, right? He's said shite like "It was a long time coming..." to Rick before. And I can't remember, but in the first episode (or was it a flashback?) when Rick and Shane were riding in the car together and Rick was talking about his marriage, didn't Shane say something along the same lines...or say something negative about Rick and Lori? I sometimes forget that Rick and Lori didn't have the best marriage before the shite hit the fan and Rick "died."

It did seem a little heavy-handed in demonstrating that the viewer shouldn't sympathize with the governor.

oh, I can see that. Governor did say that they were collecting walker bodies for the "odor and that it made the people uneasy"....but that they would have written that into the Govenor's lines, it means that they were writing in an excuse for him to collect bodies to do something with them.

the actress plays michonne like a native american not accustomed to civilization

she looks like she'll be a drag on a pretty cool part of the show with the town & governor. i'm not jizzing my pants over some black chick with swords who cannot act.
loved the governor last night. they casted that perfectly. were the heads of some significance or just showing he is cold blooded?
