The whole Bowl Ticket Allotment system is fricked up and only there to ensure money for the bowls, I don't think it truelly represents the schools fan support, but they use it as an innaccurate measuring device IMO

I read a bit of John Bacon's book on the Rich Rod era and it was a fascinating insight into how UM administration pretty much sandbagged him from the start.
UM seems very much like USC in that they have this misguided obsession with recreating the past by hiring familiar faces from the glory years (ie Moeller, Carr, Hoke). Rich Rod aside, they haven't made an out-of-the-box hire since Schembechler.
