Yeah this was clearly the best of the season.

Since I am the father of the moat idea, will I be allowed in the moat inside a moat group?
Posted on 11/13/11 at 11:17 pm to CajunFootball
Sure, you can be the Director of Outer Moat Activities.

Excellent. I will surely submit the original drawings of the moat idea.
I also request 1 farmers daughter. She doesn't actually have to be a farmers daughter, but she must be a female and she must put out.

You're Outer Moat. You get what the Inner Moat gives you.

Really? I thought that was easily the best of the season, first one I've dug all the way thru.
What didn't you like about last week's?

I have just withdrawn my blueprints of the moat and leave you with nothing. Now you have a hole...not a moat. I and the secrets of the moat shall go where we a lavished with easy women.

If I were Shane, I'd definetly be thinking about feeding Herschel to those zombies.
Better episode, but that's not saying much. Enough with the Sophia bullshite.

The moat thing isn't funny.
Sorry

They also do things which make it hard to believe like running the generator at all times and being loud as possible.
Are people really bitching about the generator?

There are a lot of things to bitch about from a zombie survival standpoint. I get the show is more about human interaction than zombies, but you'd think they might have brought in some kind of zombie expert as a consultant to keep things sane.
Also as far as bitching and moaning, have they seriously been looking for that little girl for the entire fricking season? You have got to be kidding me.

Did anyone see the sneak peak from the show after TWD?
They find the girl as a zombie and kill here. Her mom and the count who shot Daryl go off to kill themselves. Rick tells Lori to get her shite together, farmer's daughter fricks Glenn silly...
Actually, farmer's daughter and Glenn go round and round about keeping the moat barn secret. That's about it.

This.
When she shot Darryl, I screamed out loud..."Everyone in this show is so STUPID!"

I loved that line. I even laughed because it's right. Everyone seems like they are out to prove something to someone. Just stop. Survive. Continue existing.
Knew Maggie would want to defy her father. Poor Glenn has so many secrets.
Darryl became a bad arse collecting those ears. He's gonna wreak havoc on zombies.
I liked the opener for this episode.
I don't care what you guys think, Shane is right. Why risk the lives of many to save few in this scenario. That is the problem with surviving with family people get too attached.

I thought last week's episode was better, but this one was also pretty strong, as they are doing more to flesh out the characters.
PROS:
-- Darryl-centric episode in which he is even more of a bad arse. Also, it doesn't end with him dying, which I thought was gonna happen..
-- Shane's development into the most fascinating character on the show. He's not evil, he's just amoral. And his logical argument isn't entirely wrong.
-- The banter between Rick and Shane. Them talking about old girls was a nice scene in which we saw how they probably used to interact. Then the conversation slowly morphs into something else. Really strong scene.
-- Dale, being right as always.
-- No T-Dawg sightings.
-- The dinner scene. That took awkward to new levels. It was the gang trying to be normal, and as usual, failing.
-- Herschel's shift to a quiet dictator is complete. He started as this kindly old man, and now he's getting ready to evict them and resentful of everything the gang does. The shift was believable and well done.
CONS
-- The Sophia search. Get on with it. I don't mind the slow pace of the show, I mean, the world would have a slower pace, but they have dragged this out far too long. I don't care.
-- Ghost Merle. I love Michael Rooker as an actor, but the use of ghost characters just irritates me in general. and he didn't add much.
-- The cold open had no relevance to the episode. Neat scene, but why did it exist?
-- Glenn asking about periods. Glenn is the show's best character. Usually funny, generally upbeat, minimum amount of whining, and actually able to go out and do things. But him asking about all the girls being on their period was an unfortunate addition of gender politics. And since when did he become a busybody in regards to Lori? Mind your own business -- as you have all series long.
-- Andrea shooting Darryl. It made no sense. Who fires a round at a zombia when it is surrounded by four of your group. Even if Darryl was a zombie, you ran the risk of shooting a friendly. It didn't make sense at all, and it just seemed to exist so Darryl would get shot.
Solid episode which gave Darryl and Glenn the spotlight, and also advanced the plot.

Stupid shite happens when you give a woman a gun, especially when she has zero experience with guns.
