Anybody notice how, rather pointedly, they had to remove the necklace with the ears on it from Daryl's mouth after he got shot?

That was an interesting detail and a little more detailed than usual. I wonder if maybe he didn't just get infected?

True.

They need to get off that farm. It's about to get nuts.

Does anyone think we will ever find out what the CDC doc whispered into Rick's ear right before they ran out? Judging from Rick's face, it seemed like some pretty heavy info.

I thought Rick did that so they wouldn't freak Herschel out. Old man doesn't seem to want to harm zombies, seems to be a pacifist of sorts. Somehow, I don't think his peace-loving ways are going to work out too well for him in the future.

I missed the previews from next week and I don't read the comics--did they show Glenn? I was wondering if he maybe fell/got pushed into the zombie pit (excuse me, "moat" ) in the barn. That would suck if they kill him off.

I didn't even think of that one at first, but seems likely. How could Rick have not mentioned it yet though, it's a pretty big elephant in the room, regardless of who the father is.

No, I mean after he got shot and was laying there on the ground, the ears ended up in his mouth. If it is an infectious condition, would not infected flesh in your mouth possibly lead to an infection?

Wasn't the zombie that attacked darryl chewing on his leg? Maybr it was his boot. Pulling the arrow from his side and killing zombie 2 was badass and a great head shot.

Yeah I think it was just gnawing on his boot.
If Herschel wasn't able to work on them, they would have lost three of the group by now.

I don't know if it's been said before, but has anyone noticed how Daryl is always reusing arrows but puts them in his mouth and shite? Also he just got stabbed by his own zombie-covered arrow. How is he not infected?

As much as that would make sense: 1. Realistically, he would probably wash the arrows after use and 2. If everyone was randomly getting infected without getting bit (i.e. Andrea covered in her sister's blood) the show would just get stupid. I have no problems with overlooking that stuff

I'm not sure it could be taken any differently.

Y'all really got to quit trying to pick every little thing apart. If they went into detail to explain all of yalls little problems this show would go on for ever and they would still be in Atlanta at this point. Or Rick would still be in the hospital.

For all the haters...I knew that one day the moat would be used in the movies. There is only one safe way to keep zombies away, and it is a moat.

fricking old man was going to feed them to the barn zombies 1 by 1.

I feel like if this was his plan, he would have invited Rick and Co. to stay as long as they wanted and coax them into a feeling of security. Instead he told Rick to gtfo as soon as Carl is healthy. He wont be feeding them to the zombies IMO

Yeah I don't really believe this. I think he has been doing studies on them to try and find a cure himself.

i agree, why do people think Herschel is evil?

hes prob the most rational character throughout the 1st two seasons.

they were living fine and then the 'group' comes into his life. You have to realize after Otis dying and spending time around the group why he has became defensive. He wants them gone ASAP, but he knows Carl can't leave yet, so he has some sympathy. He's definitely caught in the middle.

and i dont know if it is obvious to anyone but me, but i think once the group is sent off that his daughter will leave with Glen

I thought the episode was just ok. I don't like the Daryl dreams either. Also why is a flesh eating zombie going to be chewing on a passed out man's boot and not his flesh? Or the bloody hole in his side from the arrow puncture? I thought other than the Daryl parts, it was rather slow episode.

I think the zombies in the farm are family members or friends. He just doesn't have the nuts to kill them. I dont think Herschel has any malicious intents regarding them.

Sure enough. She's not going to keep in that house all dry...Glenn is only a minute man(according to FD), but it's a minute more then she was getting.

Which is going to get those two 17yr olds killed and probably a female or two. They're going to bust lose and no one will have weapons.
