I believe there are 3 more episodes
They'll end the season with the group leaving the farm.

Notice that no mention has been made of Herschel's wife. She couldn't have been old enough for Herschel to be a regular widower. Herschel has 22 year old and I think one of the teenagers is his kid. Assuming at the latest his wife had the last one at 35-40, she'd only be in her mid to late 50s.
The wife is in the barn.
she could very well be in the barn, and most likely is, but how old is herschel? 70? My mom is 53 and my dad was 58 and he died last year. what do you mean he isn't old enough to be a natural widow?

I think they will leave next episode. Previews show a neighborhood being scouted.

I'm not sure they'll actually leave just yet more so then scout future places.

True. We'll see.

Natural was a bad word choice. Normal would have been better. Most people don't die in their 50s. It would be easy to just dismiss there being no wife there because Herschel is old so he must just be a widower until you look at the ages of the kids and do the math and see she would have to be in her 50s most likely.
