Hey guys, I'm trying to remember back to the CDC episode in Season 1. Did the CDC guy say anything about whats going on in the rest of the world?

I think a trench around the prison would be a great defense, that way they wouldn't all throng up against the fence.

I think we saw a dog get eaten in one of the earlier seasons. Maybe that was a horse...not sure.
Rick's horse was eaten in Atlanta in season 1.

Yeah. Remember he said that there were researchers in France that were working on a cure that had also gone silent (implying that they had either given up or died).

The way Rick wasted gas to burn wood, I have to figure they're comfortable with their supply.
Great point!

Thats right. Seems like a long time ago since I binge watched the first season to get caught up for season 2 live.

Good to see readers dropping knowledge once again. It's so impressive.
That being said, there have usually been separate threads for readers and nonreaders...why aren't we doing that this season? Seems like the obvious route to take and should avoid some (key word though) of this bullshite. Libertyabides is obviously an arrogant a-hole, but this thread doesn't say "no spoilers" or "nonreader thread" though. Let's just do separate threads like we always have..
As for this episode, I liked it a lot.
I do scratch my head on how nonchalant they are about herds of walkers pushing on fences...it doesn't make any sense. Clearly they're gonna overpower a chain-link fence at some point, so why wait until they do to address it? I was thinking if they did those sharpened "X" wood barriers through the fence, it would not only keep walkers back away from teh fences a bit, but would also serve to provide support to keep the fences more sturdy.
The "Carol training the kids" thing is getting sort of annoying IMO. I don't mind it as a little subplot story, but it's not a big deal at all, and I'd imagine most people would agree that it's a necessity. I did think Carol being cool with letting the little girl off her dad was a little much though.
Interested to see where this sickness plot goes. I always wondered what would happen if people randomly died in their sleep and how much chaos that would create...and now I saw it. That was a cool sequence of scenes.
All in all, not much happened, but I loved the episode. I like simple episodes like this where there is a small problem that develops into a larger one and the whole episode is focused on that. It's a nice change of pace from last season when they switched back and forth to Woodbury so often.
Strong season so far.

When it was revealed that everyone has it, that was the thing I thought about the most. Basically, until the disease is somehow eradicated, you probably shouldn't sleep with another person for the rest of your life. You would have to lock yourself in some sort of quarters every single night. How could you ever fall asleep with another person ever again when it is possible to die in your sleep at random?

I want to know who on the inside is planting the rats and who burned those people alive. My guess at this point is the new black guy. In the first episode it was revealed that he was relatively new to the prison and nobody knows that much about him. I recall he was talking about how he wanted to prove himself to the group and earn his keep. This would also serve to keep people from suspecting him.
All I know is that when Tyrese finds out who killed his girlfriend there is going to be hell to pay. (just for the sake of backstory, Tyrese played for the Atlanta Falcons before the ZA)

I'm enjoying it, but honestly I'm a little underwhelmed so far.
I can't put my finger on it but it just seems a little slow and plodding.

Really?
These last two episodes have easily been the best two back to back

Or the random Indian doctor-ish guy that was talking about the diseases.
The point of burning the bodies is to try to control the disease, I can't say it's a bad idea, all the bodies should be burned, not buried. Humans and walkers alike.

I think a few people have guessed the stupid girl naming the zombies was the one feeding them. That makes a lot of sense.

No wonder he goes crying to his woman about not being able to handle the pressure.

Pretty sure that Steve Gleason blew right by him to block that punt when the SuperDome reopened.

They have gasoline, why not light the walkers on fire?
I guess because they couldn't control the fire?
I like the spikes in front of the fence idea

I'm happy for everyone who is loving it. It might just be me.
Maybe Breaking Bad spoiled me. I'm just not getting that edge of your seat stuff that BB delivered.

It seems almost too obvious that Lizzie is the one feeding them the rats. But the point has been made that the flashlight and rat placement seemed to high to be a kid. She makes the most sense though. Which leads me to think she burned the bodies, but no way she could drag 2 adults that far. Thus my guess is was the new black guy, rick, or the other doctor. No way the governor is feeding the walkers rats like someone said on the Talking Dead, I think.
