“The Smartest Person” in GoT - Sansa

I don’t understand how the show is attempting to declare that Sansa is now the smartest person in Westeros. What exactly has she done that makes everyone think she is?

I think the only reason Arya says that is to symbolize her loyalty to her family. That convo with Jon had a lot to do with loyalty.
Make me think Khaleesi might turn on Jon at some point. Given also that he is the rightful heir to the throne. It would be very unexpected, but it’s one of the weird theories I have given the dialogue in the first episode. And its expected to expect the unexpected in this show right?

Arya has been around and known plenty of smarter people. But most are dead. Syrio. Her parents. Rob. I suppose Joaquin should be the smartest.

Sansa is probably the biggest victim of the subpar writing of these later seasons.
Her cunningness was displayed in the worst subplot of the entire show( littlefinger trash last season)

True true. Even Jon even said something when he was talking to Tyrion about how she’s starting to “let on” how smart she is. One of the guys I work with was going on about how Sansa was one of his favorite characters and I just don’t get how anyone isn’t completely bored with her character

The smartest person right now is Euron Greyjoy. Dude is slaying it figuratively and literally.

Varys is smart. Not sure who else is honestly. All the rest have been wrong multiple times.

I would say Varys and Tyrion are the smartest but lately they haven’t been up to par on any of their plans. At the moment Varys doesn’t seem to be scheming at anymore. Euron is really the only one moving around with no one noticing

She has survived Joffrey, Cersei, Ramsay, Lysa Tully and Littlefinger and has also kept the houses of the North in line for Jon all while being a teenager. You can't be stupid and have made it through all that.

She survived most of the experiences because they all needed her alive because they wanted to have a claim on the north. I give her credit for knowing what to say to ease her pain
