Last season was carried by the mass shooting event. This season has been sort of a drag. Feels like I’ve watched the same episode 3-4 times now and honestly everyone is just a complete drag lol. Feels like 3-5 people are on the verge of suicide

Last season also had some VERY heavy moments (kid drowning, etc.).. It's almost like they ran a test group and some women said "that was too much" so they pulled it back a little bit.
The interaction with the homeless guy getting a shave and haircut -- I 100% expected that nurse to get attacked with the scissors. They set it up multiple times with the previous attacks, and then constantly alluding to the 'code hula hoop', then it ended up being another supposed heartfelt moment with the guy liking his new haircut

I've enjoyed this season. Good character development and I'm still interested in them and their fates. I find they do a good job with keeping the medical drama believable as opposed to some of the more soap opera type shite ER and Grey's Anatomy presented. Bordered on being preachy with the ICE agents but I didn't find it insufferable.
I actually appreciate that about this show. Other medical dramas offered the most outlandish plots and set ups. Kind of nice to have an ER seem more routine instead of always having a shooting, tidal wave, flood, (insert natural disaster here) type shite. Everyday can't be the most traumatic day ever. So I enjoy that the medical aspect(s) seem more "normal".

I still really like the show, but as others have said and I've seen in season analysis from critics, the turn with Dr. Robby has made for some difficult viewing. Last season, he was like a beatific martyr who was always there for his team and presented with amazing compassion for staff and patients even when he himself was suffering. This season, we've seen his slow slide into snark, cynicism, and fallibility.
One of the things I really loved about the first season was just watching Robby work and handle his shite (despite getting overwhelmed and having a panic attack, which just made him that more admirable for holding it together for others). I work as the lead in a high pressure, fast-paced and dynamic environment, and my wife would constantly tell me that she envisions me acting like Dr. Robby in my workplace. So it's been a little disheartening to see his changes this season. I'm hoping there's some redemption for him, but I think that a "good" Dr. Robby makes for more enjoyable viewing than the version we've gotten this season, even if it makes the character somewhat static.

So just checking in… we are all aware that Robby is going to attempt to off himself, right? The whole sabbatical is his plan to end it all. Didn’t hit me until this last episode when he asked Whitaker to not only watch his place but maybe even inherit it should something happen.
Called it back on March 11th (and 10 of yall downvoted me for it)

Good penultimate episode
Langdon going Maverick and saving the paralyzed guy was awesome. That’s a confidence builder .
The residents all scanning in papers shooting the breeze
Whitaker getting sassy there in the break room felt sort of out of place to me.
Ready for the finale and see what happens to Robby

I didn’t post it here but I also called it to my wife. Robbie is suicidal and tired of it all.
I think something in the last episode will change his mind, no way Noah Wyle leaves the show that’s my opinion at least

Saw the preview for the finale. They're setting up Langdon to intervene with Robby arent they?
Seems this entire season is Robby hammering others about their demons while his are killing him

My wife says Langdon is going to fail his urine test because he stole frickleberry’s badge to order drugs.

Wow. Never crossed my mind. Good call. You can observe a lot just by looking.

When he came out of the bathroom, I told my wife "he's high."

Glad to see that for Langdon

Interesting theory. Not sure if he would've been in a hurry to go take his urine drug screen if that was the case. Or is that really where he ran off to?

Yeah theory tracks I guess, but not a storyline I'd be happy with.
He's literally on his first day back and clearly is taking the steps seriously. He took advil for his back after the badge was missing which he wouldnt need if he already was on pain killers.
What if Santos' bitch arse stole it? They showed her stealing the scalpel and havent brought that back up again.

This tracks. I thought Ogilvie took the badge as Whittaker said thats when he last saw it, but this makes sense.
I want to believe Langdon has truly rehabbed, and he is rushing to the drug test because he wants to do right, but……maybe not. Maybe the bold medicine—like fixing the guys neck—he can only do when high.
I thought Whittaker bowing up on him in the break room was a little much. Not sure why so touchy. Maybe he has been influenced by Santos.
