The uncut tracking shot toward the end was one of the most amazing things I've seen on film.

Some great one mentioned so far...Rocky, Shawshank, Die Hard, and Princess Bride are among my favorites.

I'll throw a couple out that I hadn't seen mentioned. Ocean's Eleven and Fight Club

After watching it recently, one that really stands out, IMO, is Pan's Labyrinth. I couldn't watch that movie every day and it isn't one of my favorites, but damn near everything was amazing about the movie.

The scenery, music, story, acting, etc., were all perfect, IMO.

This is one of the films that jump out at me as a perfect film.

Perfect movie. Hmm.

Dial M for Muder
Psycho
The Hidden Fortress
Seven Samurai
The Sandlot
Finding Nemo
The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly
My Darling Clemintine
Blade Runner
Godfather 2
LOTR(s)
Sin City
Memento
Chinatown
The Lion King
Gone With the Wind
Zoolander
Dumb and Dumber
Silence of the Lambs
Citizen Kane
City of God
Toy Story(s)
Back to the Future
To Kill a Mockingbird

A lot more classics I'm forgetting off the top of my head. I'm not shy saying a movie is 10/10. I can have a perfect comedy, western, drama, foreign, ect. Maybe ten or so of each. Not like the OT with women, where no one is above a 7.5. I think there are thousands of women out there are 10's. There a ton of dimes on this planet.

Raging Bull
Citizen Kane
Casablanca
To Kill a Mockingbird
The Lord of the Rings
Lost in Translation
The Good, The Bad, and the Ugly
Psycho
Vertigo
Wall-e
Princess Mononoke
Spirited Away
City of God
Seven Samurai

Can't think of one flaw or nitpick in any of them. Flawless films as far as I can tell. These aren't mind you my favorite films, but they're films where I can't find an error in.

I'm with you on a lot of those, as you could probably see looking at my list too. I'd definitely add Pans Labyrinth to my list. I actually saw that in the theatre, I read up on it before it came out and saw it as soon as it came out. I might be wrong but I don't think it did very well at the box office, it was only at the one by my house for like a week. It kind of got the shaft at the oscars too. Didn't even win best foreign film that year. I honestly think Ivana, I can't remember her full name, Ivana something, was the best child actor performance of all time. She wasn't nominated for anything.

The only ones I'd probably disagree with on your list are Lost in Translation, A Clockwork Orange, The Big Lebowski, The Princess Bride, Young Frankenstein and The Royal Tennenbaums.

I'm all ears if you can find a flaw in any of those. I've tried, but I can't. They were just perfectly made and have no productional or logical flaws in my opinion.

There are lots of "perfect movies" that come about as close as you can to being exactly what they were intended to be.

I find it pretty near impossible to compare things from different genres like say "Hoop Dreams" vs "Trading Places" vs "Terminator 2" vs "The Godfather"

In general which of those you say is a better movie says more about your preconceptions of what a great movie is supposed to be than which of those is really better

Hoop Dreams is so perfect because it's imperfect like life.

It's one of those great docs where the filmmakers stay behind the camera and just let it tell the story.

Hearing all the footage they had, the editing is great in cutting it down and creating drama.
