Gary Busey is in this movie?

Why is Gary Busey taking strays? He's 82 and not connected to this film in any fashion. On a mental health scale, he's in better shape than zipper tits.

Godspeed if you’re in London trying to see this on their one 70mm IMAX screen.

Wanting it to be good and expecting it to be good are two different things.

So now people can’t expect a movie to be good given certain variables (such as Director, Cast, Cinematography) or it’s an “agenda”?

Y’all are absolutely ate up.

Was revealed and advertised months before the film was released.

I see. Must not have created enough uproar to cut through the Lupita/Page propwash.

Why would you not expect a film by perhaps the best director working today to be good

Why are so many people here so invested in this doing well?
Not invested, it's just weird reading everywhere that the Odyssey is the biggest hit of the summer and the biggest of Nolen's career, then coming here to TD and first being told it was going to bomb, then that it might break even. No one likes being gaslighted, especially when we should all be rooting for the success of big original films for adults. If movies like the Odyssey can't make a profit, they're just going to feed us more Minecraft movies and low budget horror.

I never mentioned an agenda.

If you want to reply to me, it'll be helpful if you quote something I actually said and respond to my actual words. If you just want to kill straw men that doesn't interest me.

Again. You have no reasonable explanation for why someone who expects a movie to be good is a bad thing. Or even applies to this discussion.

You word salad the frick out of half of your posts.

Nobody said you couldn't expect that. I just don't think it's any different than expecting the opposite.

Name a movie you don't care for, and somebody thinks it's shite and you're just a hater. This stuff is all very subjective, yet you want to dismiss the entire validity of anybody who has a different opinion than you. It's weird.

I never said it's a bad thing.

If you just want to make shite up and pretend I said it, fine.

Pump the brakes. It has to reach about 1.5 bil. to equal TDK and TDKR.

Hyperbole is a valid rhetorical device, used here to make a valid point but not meant to be taken literally.

Don't act like the desire to 'own the chuds' isn't just as zealous and virulent as the desire to see woke go broke.

I don't give a wet fart about "owning" anyone. Mostly because they do a fine job of it themselves.
