I seem to remember she was kind of a dick the last season. I assume it will end with a more positive vibe.

My wife and I loved seasons 1-3, but lost interest at the beginning of season 4. Just seemed like it wasn't going anywhere any longer. The woman-making-it-in-a-man's-comedy-world approach was extremely interesting and a great story, but they dragged out the same theme way too long.

My wife even said out loud, "Yes, we get it! She doesn't get the same respect a man does. Move on!"

Anybody know if they did, in fact, move on from that? I might be willing to give S4 another go.

Season 4 was very tough to power through. I really hope season 5 is back to season 1-3 levels.

It'll be the last so I'm assuming she has to go somewhere (up or down).

I thought while parts of S4 were slower, I really enjoyed her interactions with Lenny at the end of the season and them finally getting together (that whole scene in the hotel during the snowstorm was fantastic). Also enjoyed the ferris wheel scene with the family all screaming at each other.

Loved the whole series so far. Tony Shaloub is gold in every scene he's in.

I’m glad it’s ending. The story has gotten stale, maybe a sense of urgency to conclude the story will do it some good.

Side note, historical spoilers

I wonder if they will fast forward at all and cover Lenny Bruce’s death, they’re only 5 years away

I am ready! Even though it is slow in spots I love vintage every thing and the show has enough character development to keep me engaged.

It's the clothes for me. I want all of the fabulous, bright colored, vintage clothes.

Absolutely. Both Maisel and the mom. I also love the idea of cabins in the Catskills. And vintage kitchens and pyrex. I loved Madmen for the same reason.
