It appears to me that for the third season finale in a row they’ve setup another showdown with Moth Gideon. The mythosaur feels primed to make an appearance
So the finale is basically gonna be like when Fett rode the rancor in that shows finale.
How original.

Finally watched it last night. It wasn't as bad as the previous episode, but you can see the stupid lining up for future events.
Also, is it just me or does anyone else think 43 year old Katie Sakhoff looks like she's 60? Did she catch 'Hollywood disease?' Yikes.

I don't understand some of ya'lls obsession with Katie Sakhoff. She has a man face.

Why don't we see what happens and then react accordingly?

Is it her hair style? Or has she not aged gracefully? May just look better with a little more weight on her.

She was fire on BSG, but she and Grace Park were playing for silver compared to Number Six (Caprica Six), Tricia Helfer.

That raises another question. If the Armourer is Rook Kast and Bo’s enemy as you said, wouldn’t Bo know her voice or at least be aware of the potential of her identity?
And if Gideon was using Mandalore as a base, wouldn’t they have noticed Din and Bo arriving in their ships in earlier episodes? I’m probably just nit picking

Bold Prediction for finale: Han Solo and the millennium falcon show up.
They just did CGI for Harrison Ford in Indiana Jones. Why not this too

Depends on how far away the Great Forge was from the Civic Center that was built on top of the Beskar mines.
All of the electromagnetic interference from glassing the planet might've kept Gideon's base isolated both from prying eyes and their ability to surveil.
These new Darktroopers now explain the Beskar fragments left behind in the shuttle when they jailbroke Gideon.

The runtime for the final episode is reported to be 39 minutes, credits not included. No word on a post credit scene.

While this was arguably the best overall episode, it ultimately failed to convey the gravity/tension of the situation.
I didn't feel there were any stakes because I don't care about this melting pot of Mandalorians. I don't like the pissy mercenaries or show-usurper Bo Katan. Outside of Paz & the Armorer, I couldn't care less for the saftey of the cult. The beskar villains were rushed and came out of nowhere in the last 15 mins and were supposed to be feared, along with Moff Iron-Man, all shooting at Mandalorians who wear beskar. I never felt Mando or Grogu (the only ones I truly care about) were in any danger.
The only Holy shite! moment, for me, was the Paz vs Praetorian Guards battle, but even that felt forced, in that there were other avoidable/escape options.

Also, it may be just me but this season's Moff seems to be more verbose. I remember him being more of a direct, non nonsense, man-of -few-words type which added to his intrigue and fearsome aura.
This season it feels like he's either a walking monologue or showing too much personality in every scene. I don't like it.

Would love for Julian Glover, who played General Veers in ESB and more recently Grand Maester Pycelle in GoT, to make an appearance. After the fall of the empire, he led renegade stormtroopers to restart the Genesis droid foundries but was defeated by Lando and others.

Just watched, was a solid episode. They finally went main plot instead of side plot stuff. Setting up to be a good finale. Grogu is not playing much into the plot any more. I hope they do something with him in the finale. Can’t wait till Wednesday!

Maybe but I assume the helm could alter her voice. Also Din and Bo act as they only met in the last year but it was Bo that saved him as a child and brought him to the tribe to become a foundling.
If the Armourer is Kast she would do anything to hide her identity as she was second in command when Maul was Mandalore.
The real question is who made Gideon's Armourer as someone I think already pointed out it has horns on it like the Armourer. Also the super commandos under Maul had horns on their helmets.

I did not know until now that he survived Hoth. I've always assumed his AT-AT was one of the two that were shown taken down in ESB.

This. I almost think they are doing it on purpose - portraying him as a loud mouth braggart and then contrast Thrawn with him when he is introduced. Thrawn has always been depicted as a soft spoken, uber intelligent antagonist who respects his adversaries.
If that is what they are doing, it is kind of a disservice to the Moff Gideon character and also the misuse of a very good actor.

Forgive my ignorance, but where are the Mandos when the 7th movie picks up?

a) dead, as a result of stuff like this ambush
or
b) Independent and isolationist, trying to stay out of the New Republic's control, as they rebuild. We're talking about a couple decades, it will take awhile to deglass the planet.
I'm trying to remember, wasn't Tatooine similarly bombed into oblivion in their distant past? Which is why the planet is now covered in desert (sand= fine glass)? And they never recovered.
Point being, Mandalore ain't going to be heavily involved in outside activities for the next century or so.
