I look at this a little differently than most here I guess. I read the title as The Mandalorian not Din "The Mandalorian" Djarin and His Wacky Adventures.

Maybe at the end of the day, the whole thing was all about Grogu becoming the first force sensitive mandalorian since what's his face. Maybe at tye end of the day, its about Bo Katan amd her rise and her return.

Hell, maybe it'd going to end up being about Viszla's kid and it just took us 2 seasons to get to him.

I just am enjoying all of the mandalorian lore and action. It's been a fun enough ride for me.

Nice to see Zeb

For casuals, Zeb’s design was based on Ralph McQuarrie’s unused but original concept art for Chewbacca.

It was nice to finally see what Chewie could have potentially looked like in live action, and not just cool for the Zeb/Rebels connection.

He didn't need to. That's Steve Blum doing the VO.

Besides, Zeb believes he's the last of his species and hell-bent to take it out on the Empire.

I’m gonna finish out the season but unless things turn around, this might be my last season. Doesn’t even seem like the same show.

That seems to be the general consensus from the fan reviews on rotten tomatoes. Sad Disney has ruined another good thing.

Also thought Armorer was gonna double cross Bo when she walked out without the helmet

When she told her to take it off I was thinking “it’s a trap!” Lol

Then that’s fricking stupid. Give her her own show. The Mandalorian was pitched and created as a space western. They’ve kind of gotten away from that as the focus has shifted less and less about Grogu and Din. You can’t create two beloved characters, have an emotional first couple of seasons, especially Season 2 and then completely change main characters and have it be about THAT character. This isn’t Grey’s Anatomy

I don’t give two shits about Bo Katan. She’s cool but this emphasis on her just screams Filoni and while he’s great, he has a hard on for characters he helped create.

Don’t get me wrong. I don’t think Mando is being woke or anything. And it’s still well made. It’s just not going the direction I want personally. If the focus isn’t on Din and Grogu, I don’t really care. When Boba came in last season, he didn’t completely take over outside of one badass 10 minute sequence. And I’m all for Bo doing cool shite and looking badass. But as a side character, not as a main. Again, that’s just personal preference. I never watched all of Clone Wars or Rebels so I don’t have the attachment to that character that others do and I don’t think it’s entirely fair to expect others who started Mando to be forced to sit through this character being shoved down their throats

I totally get that it just seems like Mando is being used to fill in gaps between the animated shows. I dig that actually.

This show needs a good villain. Not a cartoon character villain. I've seen Thrawn mentioned, possible showing?

What’s the point of her setting up the dr to be mind flayed?

The doctor was trying to give the New Republic the cloning science that he was developing for the Empire.

If she’s working for Moff Gideon and the remnants of the Empire, that’s the last thing that they’d want.

This show suffers from Rangers of the New Republic being canceled. They are having to use this show to tell parts of the story that they wanted to tell in RoNR. Mando was supposed to be the heavy and rangers was the undercard. But they canceled rangers bc Gina compared the left to nazis. And that hit close too close to home for disney.

I don’t really see much in this show that would be recycled from Rangers, since everything from the New Republic side of the story still follows Mandalorian characters doing things related to the Mandalorian’s plot. The one thing I think would have been common among the two is the Rangers struggling with dealing with restrictions of the New Republic’s system.

Like, I don’t think RotNR was going to follow all of these Gideon things. I think they would have been given their own tasks, purpose, and antagonist. Just like I do not think Thrawn is involved with this show, that is a character for the Ahsoka show.

I thought it was confirmed that the whole doctor episode was going to be in that Rangers show. I could be misremembering though.

That's probably true. That would make sense to introduce him in that. Big selling point to get viewers.

quote: no... Bo Katan led a group of Mandalorians, including the expected resistance to her (Visla). She earned their respect, and his gratitude and loyalty. That's going to be important. Exactly. And Mando being the one to save his son was pretty big too to clear up any bad blood between them…or make us think they did.

I’m replying to my own post…I sorta felt it was a setup as he started, but even sensing what he was going to do, when Visla said “why, Because we’re Mandalorians!” I screamed “this is the way” and was ready for battle myself

It is happening. Sabine and Ezra are both characters in the new Ahsoka show so long live the live action Rebels universe.

Just wait until Omega from Bad Batch makes her live action debut in a few years. A force sensitive female clone. The M/TV board will lose it

As for this episode, it was awesome. The Zeb cameo was cherry on top.

I do. well i want it to introduce it at least and those characters have interactions with Mando and then we can have other shows that focus on them.

Theres no reason to not tie all of this into finding Ezra at some point, and he becoming a central part of the Star Wars universe going forward.
