As mentioned by others in the thread what happened to the guy on the right? Did F&F throw KK a bone by having the all female group taking the ship?
Also this marks the 2nd time they've mocked Rey being force sensitive and having the ability to command/control it with no training.
And last but not least just gonna leave this here.

So... CG Luke makes an appearance, but was that his voice or did they use a stand in for that as well?
I don't watch, but I heard wasn't Mark Hamill.
Mark Hamill is credited for appearing in the episode. It was him, but there was probably a body double for the battle sequence as Luke's laying waste because Mark Hamill is a 70 year old man who probably can't do that, there was someone credited as a Jedi body double, and by my count there was only one Jedi in the episode. I'm guessing Favreau brought Hamill in to spend a day by himself doing all the close up shots after the blast door opens; after all, he's really never in the same shot as any other actor. Then, ILM came in and did their thing on the face and voice for those few minutes and Hamill rightfully gets at least one acting credit for playing Luke the way we all knew he should be.

Finally watched this after the SECCG...
and I was transported back in time to 1983, at a drive-in theater with my two friends and my cousin sitting in the back of my dad’s pickup truck bed, eating popcorn and watching a double-showing of Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi. I imagine I was not the only old dude feeling that way.
Wife laughed at me for transforming into a 9 year old boy.
That was great stuff.

Well that was quite a fun experience.

ETA: Imagine the chips are down and The Mandalorian and his team are defeated and near death. The small metal ball falls out of his pocket and rolls across the floor to a stop. It begins to shake, then rises from the floor slowly before floating motionless. It zips through the air out of the camera frame. Cut to a small green hand holding the gear shift knob. Camera pulls back to reveal Grogu, Ahsoka, and Luke Skywalker. Skywalker and Ahsoka activate their lightsabers, Grogu closes his eyes and extends his free hand forward...and then Luke takes a swig of blue milk

I guess I do not know how anyone could get upset by this aspect of the show - it in no way detracted from the episode - and to bring it up is honestly just looking for something to bitch about.

FYI this is the guy that played Luke, then they deepfaked Hamill:

Not bad but Disney already sort of replaced Harrison Ford with a good actor and I think the same can be done for Luke.

Bewildering that those who made the sequels can't grasp this really simple concept. Give fans the Luke they remember. Why was that so hard?

I know a lot of people want to leave the Skywalkers behind but I think there’s like a 5-6 year mystery period with Luke that I would love to see explored. Full power Luke would make a hell of a show if done right.

At points in the EU he was basically a god. His mastery of the force was incredible. He would’ve made Yoda proud.

You weren't alone.

I didn’t cry. I was more like Rocky’s kid in Rocky 4 cheering and shouting during the Drago fight. That was a great, great feeling to have.
“HOLY shite IS THAT LUKE’S XWING? NO WAY NO WAY IT’S HIM!”
“GREEN LIGHTSABER! THAT’S A GREEN LIGHTSABER! THAT’S LUKE’S LIGHTSABER!”
“YAAAAAAA THAT’S ROTJ LUKE’S FACE! LUUUUUUUUUUUKE!”
“ARTOOOOOOOOOOOO!”
My wife was dying trying to contain herself from laughing in my dumb face

Alright, did anyone else get irrationally mad that Mando didn't give Grogu the ball from the ship? He rescued it from the wreckage and pocketed it when they destroyed his ship. All I wanted was for his to pull it out as Luke was walking away with Grogu, and Grogu force pulls it to himself before the elevator doors close. I was yelling at the screen for him to give it to him
Otherwise, phenomenal episode.

Those fan reactions are over the top but they aren’t just about seeing Luke again. A big part of it is due to the gutting provided by Rian Johnson. To get the real Luke back after that bastard tried to destroy him was very satisfying.
