Continuing to focus on the Skywalker family and/or those immediately adjacent to it seems arbitrarily limiting when you’ve got a whole galaxy full of sentient life forms to work with. Don’t get me wrong, it’s in no way a deal breaker, and Luke wrecking stuff is gratifying because it finally lets us see what we believed about his abilities. I’m not *disappointed* by any means, but branching out would be nice.

Some of the negative reviews online are cracking me up. Complaints about too much action and bringing back old characters. I mean, how could you not love that episode. Those must have been the same people that loved The Last Jedi.

They missed one thing.... Din giving Grogru the knob from the Razor Crest after they set it up with that scene of Din finding it in the wreckage.

That's happening too.

Damned strong. Why Disney does not have Favreau running everything I just don't know.
Just give the guy the keys. I mean, the music, the dramatic pauses, the writing, everything, in those last minutes were simply EPIC.
Mando almost smiled too.
This is my Star Wars.
And . . . any negative comments or reviews of this show’s final few minutes - I’m convinced unless otherwise proven - is being done by North Korean, Russian, Chinese, or some other Commie faction of hackers. It is of the Dark Side and has no place here.
May the Force be with You.

Fantastic Finale* to a great season 2.
Can someone answer what will be the long term consequences to Mando removing his helmet front of everybody will be?
*This show's only problem is that is only confirms and further magnifies how awful the last movies really where.

I thoroughly enjoyed the series, but I have to reiterate a common criticism and a couple of observations I'm sure have already been made in this thread.
What is the purpose of stormtroopers? Not just their armor, but the people in it. lol
They asked the hooded figure if he was a Jedi, but they didn't ask him his name. I guess it could be a "man with no name" sort of thing, but jeez, it seems like a natural follow-up question.
Luke has activated god mode. Skilled and versatile as he is, Mando wouldn't last half a second in a fight against him.
I hope Boba Fett finds some people for his court.

It is. TLJ fans want to feel more intelligent than other Star Wars fans by feigning depth and pretending to “get” Rian Johnson’s Luke when no one else can.
They’re mad that people are overjoyed with Luke wrecking shite in The Mandalorian because that’s what we all wanted to see out of him. To them, Favreau didn’t subvert our expectations, therefore it’s elementary.
Remember, these are the same people who think they’re making a political statement by fervently defending Rian Johnson and TLJ. It’s best we just let their million voices cry out in terror and get suddenly silenced as the sequels get retconned by Disney.

Wow, that was boneriffic. Not only did they bring in the most unexpected character (most were betting on Mace), they did it in the most awesome way possible.
I'm guessing that was a deep fake, but it doesn't look like they're going to be able to do too much with it. Deep fake Luke didn't seem to be able to physically interact with other characters that much.
It looks like a lot of interesting things have been lined up for next season. I wish the seasons were longer.

There are a lot of people who are incapable of feeling anything resembling joy or happiness. The closest they can come to it is when they are either offended or have something to bitch about.
As for Chapter 16, what can I say that hasn’t been said already? From start to finish it delivered. Freaking blew my mind. The only thing I didn’t like was now I have several months to wait until I can watch Chapter 17.

You're not completely wrong but we've already seen loud and clear how Disney does when they step outside of the established star wars universe.

I don’t think calling this chapter “The Rescue” was an accident, and I don’t think it fully referred to Grogu.

How in the world did Disney screw up the last trilogy so bad

Ummmm...we're a few years after ROTJ.
Luke Skywalker was THE most powerful Jedi at the time (both because of lineage, and reduced numbers).
It made sense he was the one who showed up after the "call" from Grogu.
Full disclosure: Saw Star Wars: Ep. IV 13 times in the theater during its original release and the sequels in the OT multiple times.
