Where is a Hutt dick, anyway?
Is it underneath them and it just slides along the ground under their body?
That’s kinda gross.

Lol that guy has been posting tweets about the movie for weeks and showed up on opening day to post tweets about how bored he is. I get that some people prefer to wallow in misery, but it isnt healthy.

I mean, I get Wookiee dicks. They obviously have red rockets.

I bet Yodas bang like rabbits. 3 seconds of fury and then they just fall over.

Jeremy Jahns said it maybe the most forgettable Star Wars movie he has ever seen

Said the 1st 5 minutes were everything they told us the movie was going to be. . .the rest of the movie is like one sidequest after another. Said even the main story seems like a sidequest

I'm struggling to describe what I saw. They basically took a partial season of weak material and rammed it together at hyperspeed and the result was a story better fit for an animated TV series. The visuals were good, but that was where taking this seriously as a movie stopped.

Purely from the trailers, it looked “flat” to me. It’s hard to describe.

Like the Hutts didn’t look convincingly real and didn’t pop as 3d objects. I thought Jabba looked better in that sense

the Hutts and really most all the creatures were awful, but for the most part, the action scenes and explosions were good visually. The issue is the story is so bad you have no investment in what's happening. It's just screen filler that doesn't advance the plot and you know everyone is going to survive anyway.

Id just like conversations to become more reasonable. All we get here is the same doom and gloom crowd reposting YouTube grifters and acting like everything sucks all the time.

I was really looking forward to the odyssey but posting anything semi positive about it is met with 5 replies telling you how its guaranteed to suck.

Hating on everything doesnt make you enlightened. There has to be some middle ground.

This movie sucks. People taking their kids to go see it and foreign audiences potentially cushioning the financial blow doesn't change that fact.

Your issue is you think just because people post on youtube about the issues with the movie industry that it somehow means.. those issues aren't real?

Did you watch the sequel trilogy? Mandalorian? Acolyte? Boba Fett? This new movie?

it's all absolute dogshit that means nothing. Nobody cares about this universe Disney tried to push

I give it a 7/10. It was enjoyable. The first half of the movie is better than the second half, the pacing is bad (especially in the second half, which is weird because the first half is awesome. First half felt better than Solo while the second half dragged bad until the last 15 minutes or so), and the movie really doesn’t trust its audience at all (it seems to go out of its way to explain stuff rather than just let forshadowing do its thing). It tells when it could just show. It also frequently puts cuteness in the foreground frequently enough that it feels like jingling keys in front of a baby. A lot of this extra cuteness and exposition felt added on in post, like the studio saw test screenings and said “brainrotted kids are too stupid to get that without help” or “add a cute thing here to get attention”. It’s the movie equivalent of yellow paint in a video game.

With that said, despite its flaws, it’s still entertaining. Great action set pieces, cool worlds that feel lived in, the plot is interesting enough, and It’s a self-contained adventure outside a few cameos by familiar Feloni verse characters. The first half is classic early season Mando. It’s like John Wick meets Thor: Ragnarok but less quippy. The second half felt more like an above average Star Wars Rebels arc. I had fun and felt like I got my money’s worth.
