The Idaho Murders on Netflix

Yep- binging now. Pretty well done.

I get it’s tough to judge and all but I don’t get how that one roommate didn’t call the cops when she saw and heard what she did. Just odd.

I’ll also say, the Twitter/tiktok sleuth mob is pretty terrible in general. Content whores desperate for clicks, that straight up call people killers pretty matter of factly based on blind speculation. They don’t care about the damage it does to the ones they’re pointing fingers at.

I thought it was well done. I appreciated the details and timeline given out by Moscow PD. They had a lot of evidence on BK, and how anyone can doubt his guilt is beyond me. Even though the PD was heavily criticized by the internet, they were very methodical and went to the FBI for help right away (as opposed to that weirdo chief on the Nancy Guthrie case).

I don’t fault the families or friends for any of their behavior. I can’t even begin to imagine what it was like to go through all of this.

BK is pure evil, but also an extreme douche. What a fricking creepy loser.

Why? He pled guilty and was given 4 life sentences. I get he’s appealing now saying he was mislead by his attorneys, but I don’t see why a disclaimer is needed while the dude is serving time for these murders.


Also, who in their right mind would plead guilty to a quadruple homicide they didn’t commit? I’d have fought it tooth and nail despite whatever “evidence” they had against me

I heard early on that he was frequenting a vegan restaurant where one of the pretty blondes was a waitress. You've seen this awkward frick. I imagine he came onto her in the most stilted, asperger-y way possible, and was shot down. He could never get a girl that hot, so he did the incel approach.

I like most of Netflix's true crime documentaries, that seems to be what they do best nowadays. But if you want to avoid what you disliked I'd just find the Dateline episodes on the Idaho murders. They are really good. The two hour episode goes into pretty good detail and cuts out all the BS interviews.

I listened to the entirety of his plea yesterday. Dude is not getting a trial. Unless the state of Washington or the feds decide to prosecute him for whatever reason. But his Idaho convictions aren’t going anywhere. He waived his right to appeal. What he’s doing now is the Hailiest of Hail Marys.

I kept up with it in real time. I’m not sure I
want to follow that horrific tragedy again…
