Terminator Dark Fate
X men Dark Phoenix
Doctor Who (Whittaker)
Watchmen (HBO)
Batwoman (CBS)
Birds of Prey

And now we will have a WOKE She Hulk by Marvel.

Why is this happening ? These shows and movies are failing. Woke obviously doesn't sell, yet they continue to push this agenda. How much money do these projects have to lose to stop this?

Right now it seems like Hollywood is more concerned with virtue signaling and lecturing us than they are about actually making a profit. Sure there may be some profitable ‘woke’ titles out there, but they are the exception.

It's not right now, go back 20 years and you'll see they were "educating" us then as well.

Will & Grace
Queer Eye for the straight guy
Brokeback mountain etc.

Hollywood has been doing this for 30 years or more.

Because people live in this bubble where they believe that the majority agrees with their bullshite.

It really isn’t complicated.

This is a tired argument. Hollywood sometimes tries to pedal sjw crap and it always flops. If you don't like it just don't watch it instead of cry about it here. Also do you consider any movie with a woman or black lead to be woke?

I just watched Dark Fate last night.

I'd theorize that it disappointed mainly because the previous 3 movies weren't very good, so not many people were excited. Then, the movie itself was basically a T2 clone, only not nearly as good.

Any social themed stuff...if they were hitched to a better movie, there wouldn't be an issue, IMO. I just can't see how people would be excited. I didn't hate it, but it was pretty blah.

I agree with everything you said and I'm in this thread to have an outlet for sarcasm

But with this, it depends on the subject matter. As a lot of the films today are about "the first black..whatever, or some renegade badass slave during slavery that didnt exist but..whatever.."

12 years a slave, the help, hidden figures, django, harriet, etc.

I've never seen a country have more outpouring to a 13% minority than the usa

No. But I can tell when the character is there to actually tell a story or if they just serve as SJW filler.

Finn in Star Wars is a perfect example of this. So much wasted potential.
