Just introduced to Peaches too. Not sure how much to expect them to be treated according to their book versions. Excited to find out though.

I know it's been a minute, but damn, I didn't even recognize her!!

I had in my mind that 'Peaches' was this long lost person from Amos's past life, an ex GF or some such. Good grief I'm slow !

Did it seem that Marco was not just pushing for quality for the belt but setting up the position that belters are a superior race. There seemed to be a whole more there than just equality.

The book does a better job of explaining this, but Marco is a narcissistic megalomaniac. He's a habitual liar too. It doesn't matter what he says, everything he does is about making him look better.

His quest isn't really about bettering the belt.

You can’t beat human nature, which is where Star Trek missed the mark a lot. People are always going to be selfish assholes to a certain extent, and I appreciate when shows acknowledge that reality.

You'll have he benefit of being able to binge mightily now, instead of having to wait. It's a mixed blessing, eagerly watching each new ep, but only to realize you're that much closer to the end of the season.

Episode 6 is out, the weekly episode release didn’t sit right with me at first but I think I prefer it this way now.

Drummer's eyes when she looks at Phillip... damn she's fine.

What was that tactical Marcos was looking at towards the end? Some intercept course, with Drummer's ship?

I don't trust him.

Haven’t read the rest of the thread. Through three episodes. The guy playing Marcos Inaros sucked on tyrant and he sucks here which is disappointing because that character seems like a great villain

I’d rank it in the bottom half of this season’s eps. Still good though. Really liked the scene with with Naomi, Marco, Filip, and Cyn. Amos was amazing as always. The Peaches fight scene was not my favorite stylistic choice.

Yeah I think they did a shortcut with Peaches’ fight scene. We have seen her in action before so I guess much was left up to the imagination, but logistically I would’ve liked to seen how she crept up on the guy, in the snow ,without getting his attention before going to town on him. Especially when she was barely able to walk before hand. Other than that, I’d still give this episode a solid A. .

Haven’t seen him in anything else, so I don’t have any preconceptions. I don’t know how he compares to the book version, but I don’t have a problem with the actor playing Marcos. Character wise ,he seems devious enough and charismatic, in a psychotic way.

Really would like to see Amos go after him once he finds out what has been going on since he left.

Seems like they have a ton of ground to cover in the remainder of the season without many episodes to do it. Hopefully the action picks up soon.

Been a bit of a slow burn with few action scenes so far like Bobbie and Alex kicking arse. I feel my space battle fix.

Amos and Chlarissa make a great combo.

Never read the books. Does Drummer join Marcos in those too? She’s gotta have a plan especially after Filip let it slip they have Naomi. She’s gotta know Holden is coming to pimp slap that bitch back to reality and frick his navy up,

The intercept course was with Holden & the Rocinante crew going after the Zeneyhwa? ship that stole the protomolecule.

Drummer is a minor character in the books up to this point - she is Fred Johnson's security chief on Tycho. They gave her some storylines from the book.

Bull, who is on the Roci now, was 3rd officer on the Behemoth back in the slow zone in book 3. He's not in book 6, this was just a good way to bring him in to the show. Ashford was the captain of the Behemoth in book 3. The XO was a woman named Michio Pa in book 3, and she is currently a member of Drummer's crew in season 6.

In books 5 and 6, however, she is a part of the inner circle of the Inaros faction, and she has a small fleet of her own.
She meets with Marco multiple times. Drummer is still security chief on Tycho in those books.

I would have liked to have seen the Pa-Bull dynamic in season 3, but Drummer is a great character, and I'm glad we got more of her.

This is just another example of the show turning the xenophobia up or down for some reason. In the early seasons, the hatred between earth and mars was exaggerated comically. There was the one scene in season 1 where Havelock got skewered, but the belters hatred towards inners is a constant in the books, and the show has just kinda whitewashed that. In the book, Filip killed 15 billion people on earth. The crew of the Pella was taking shots every time the news feed updated the kill count, but the show clearly wants us to feel sympathy for Filip, so he only killed a measly 2 million.
