Amos and Chlarissa make a great combo.

Did I miss something with how these two know each other or is this something we learn in an upcoming episode?

She blew up a ship and tried to frame Holden for it in an earlier season

You know her as Melba in season 3.

along with what others posted, at the start of season 4 she began using her one video call a month from jail on Amos, because she had no one else to call

but the show clearly wants us to feel sympathy for Filip, so he only killed a measly 2 million.

If the show would have killed 15 billion on earth the devastation would have been so bad it would be hard to carry on Earth storylines. The belter hatred for the inners just always seemed to be simmering in the background and then would come busting through the wall like the kool-aid man like when they spaced the Ganymede refuges.

No, it's all in book 3. It's all almost entirely in the slow zone.

You might be thinking of season 2. It feels like 2 different books, but it's 1.

The only earth storyline you had at that point was Amos and Clarissa. Chrissie is on the moon.

I have a feeling the show will want to keep Earth somehow involved. Something tells me the writers didn't want to Earth to be totally decimated even though in reality it should be. You are right that it was just to garner some sympathy for Filip.

Drummer is a minor character in the books up to this point - she is Fred Johnson's security chief on Tycho. They gave her some storylines from the book.

Ah. So is her role so far a big deviation of the books or have they essentially rolled her character into another to combine plots to simplify things?

And definitely agree. Drummer is an excellent character and fine as hell. Glad she’s gotten the screen time.

She’s three characters rolled into one. Funnily enough they’ve introduced the two other characters, Bull and Michio Pa, she pulls from. Seems like Bull might take over for Alex going forward.

They've rolled other storylines into her character. The only big deviation that I can think of is that she is really good friends with Naomi.

There may be a pretty big change to the book story in the coming episodes, but I'm not going to say anything besides this: Naomi is a badass in book 5.

That's what I was thinking. He's already been identified as a transport pilot, and Holden challenged him on that. Just a setup for him to be a badass pilot, IMO.

I know but if they say 15 billion were killed it would be damn near totally destroyed and create a different impression than just 2 million.

That’s disappointing. I liked the actors role as Alex. Kinda even keeled straight lace. Though I guess Bull has been written similar in personality to Alex.
