Okay episode I guess.
Even while dead, Hal Jordan is the most likeable character on this show.
ETA: And I still believe the writers of this show hate every character in it. Now John is a grave robber? He could have just taken the ring out of the open casket at the funeral 3 whole people attended.
Killing Hal Jordan off in his first appearance was a monumentally stupid decision. The more we get of James Gunn's DC, the less appealing it becomes.
Even while dead, Hal Jordan is the most likeable character on this show.

You're right about that. He looks like John Stewart.
Never thought I'd hope for more of Guy Gardner's Green Lantern and less of Hal Jordan's and John Stewarts', but Guy Gardner is somehow the only one they've gotten right.

But it makes perfect sense if you hate the IP.
I haven't watched the latest episode yet but Kyle Chandler was the only thing holding my interest. Oh well.

Yeah, I sorta figured that out in E1 and if there were any doubts they were erased during the BLACKETY-BLACK!!!!! episode.
I didn't say Chandler was the main character, I said he was the only one holding my interest in the show.

Yes, we are aware that the people running this show are complete morons. You didn't have to remind us. That said, Hal Jordan is easily the best part of this show. How stupid of these people to have watched this while editing it and not have realized how obvious that was. And somehow they still keep trying to convince us that Hal Jordan is somehow a bad guy in all of this. Meanwhile, he's the only one who ever acts like a hero.

He is definitely the best part of the show but I don't think he's going anywhere. They're almost certainly going to have him in every episode.

There are only 2 episodes left. Seems odd to just use Kyle Chandler for only 7.
Then again, they killed off the best, most iconic Green Lantern in episode one, so who knows what these stupid people might do? I'm sure it will be something that paints every character in the worst possible light.

Overall a pretty good episode. Very cool ending.
They said after the episode that when they started writing the series they knew they were going to kill Hal. One of the writers basically said something like "We knew it would be difficult/hard and some fans wouldn't like it, and he was my favorite super hero so it was difficult to write." Something to that effect. There was no editing that out after shooting, it was one of the big things they wanted to do the most. Though it's not like he was killing him took him out of the show.
Agreed he is the only hero. I don't really think they are trying to make us hate him though. Despite the jail time, i do think he would have had a bigger funeral had he not went and lived in obscurity. The guy still had decades (?) of heroic works I'm assuming. Just don't go live in the one town that hates you.
This episode confirms John's mom is essentially the villain. Not a character the show was trying to make likable. Hell even John can't stand her. Worst parents of all time.
Completely forgot Nathan Fillion is Green Lantern. I'm assuming he was Green lantern in the Superman movie? Weird seeing him as a super hero, don't really know how to put it but he does not seem like a super hero actor.

I still don’t think he will stay dead. Noah aka Manhunter Jr killed him and will bring him back with the machine that healed John.
Also guessing the Guardian is the one that broke out Sinestro since she is the only character that’s been introduced that could possibly do it.

I just finished watching and really enjoyed that episode. Pierre did a great job carrying this episode
