You retard, he’s talking about deceased family members hoping it’ll throw me into a rage. Thats the level of person he is and you cozy up to.

Dude, if you don't like the show, why are you in this thread?

If you don’t like my post why are you commenting on them? Do you know how many arguments I initiated in this thread? Zero, so take it up with the little fascists who feel they have to control every comment on the board.

I didn't ask that.

I asked why you are posting in a thread about a show you don't like.

There are shows I don't like, I don't get into discussions about them. Seems pointless. TV is optional viewing entertainment, if something strikes my interest I discuss it. If there's something I was interested in and it disappoints me, I express that, maybe give the show a chance, and then bow out ultimately.
Just seems like you totally dislike this, which is fine, nothing is mandatory. But it doesn't make sense to keep fighting about it, it's not like a sporting event where there's 2 (or more) sides competing. A TV show or movie is a one-sided affair, you either like it, or you don't.
BTW a Marvel fan can watch DC and vise versa, it's not the same as a football game where you choose one side. They both can provide stories and entertainment.

I haven't figured out all the rules yet but that will get you a monkeys-flinging-shite reaction for some shows. I agree with everything you said but there's a contingent here that treats it exactly like a competition, and it's not just one person or one side.

I’m a DC fan, I was discussing the show with 2 other people, none of us were arguing about it. The argument started when the board brown shirts injected themselves into our conversations to police speech which is how 100% of the arguments on the board start so again direct your questions to them. If there is a rule where nothing on the board is allowed to be critiqued I’d love to see it and I’d love to know why that rule only applies to certain things.

I thought this kind of crap was supposed to be ousted from the board. This is a damn good show and Kyle Chandler is putting on an amazing performance but instead we have this garbage

Chandler is doing all he can. He’s always solid to great in everything.

It’s not though

quote:

In standard DC Comics lore, John Stewart—like almost every other Green Lantern—cannot manifest or sustain hard-light constructs without wearing a power ring.

quote:

The Core Rule: A Green Lantern ring acts as a focal point and battery to channel pure willpower into physical, hard-light constructs. Without the physical ring in their possession or in contact with their body, a Lantern loses the ability to project or maintain that energy.

you clearly didn't real Green Lantern: War Journal so i won't hold that against you.

quote:

In comic storylines like Green Lantern: War Journal, it is established that John Stewart does not rely on a standard, physical ring. Instead, his entire body acts as the ring, and his heart serves as the power battery.

quote:

Because of this unique, internal connection to the power source, he has enhanced senses that allow him to perceive things ordinary Green Lanterns cannot.

quote:

John's willpower is so massive and finely tuned that he can channel the emerald energy of the Green Lantern Corps naturally, without relying on the hardware issued by the Guardians of the Universe.

Um...

quote:

In various comic book continuities, John has evolved past the need for a standard power ring entirely:

The Living Ring: During the Green Lantern: Mosaic run, he became the first human Guardian of the Universe, granting him inherent, ringless control over the emerald energy.

The Emerald Knight: In recent DC storylines, John absorbed the "Godstorm," a cosmic font of energy. This transformed him into a living conduit of willpower, allowing him to create permanent constructs and fly completely without wearing a ring.

No man. Just completely false. If they give John Stewart powers without a ring it is a complete rejection of how Green Lanterns are supposed to work.

It's right up there with having Superman kill people.

And you don’t understand how these things don’t apply here?

He became a Guardian, not a Green Lantern. It's right there in what you quoted.

He absorbed another entity, becoming something else. Again, not a Green Lantern. It's right there in the text you quoted.
