No. Fearless, not reckless.
His fearlessness regularly makes him reckless

Hal has never been known as a cautious

He is much akin to Johnny Storm in Marvel. All guts and courage. That is why he was such a great test pilot

I think fearlessness can look like recklessness, but I don't think they're the same.

I agree it is fearless to break into the morgue to take the bodies, but the way he did it was reckless. There was a much safer and quicker way to do it.

Taunting the ranchers while they have rifles trained on him and he knows his ring is depleated is just stupid, not fearless.

Recklessness is acting without caution

Hal does that all the time

That is a HUGE part of his character, that causes no end to the Corp's migraines

He is great at situational awareness, and figuring out shite on the fly

But he still acts recklessly ALL the time. Headfirst into the breach, and all that

You are wrong here.

We can split hairs on whether that's recklessness or fearlessness, but it doesn't change that Hal Jordan from the comics would not do what this character did in episode 2.

5% of the ring lasts about 5-10 seconds. Think about how stupid that is logistically.

No. You're mistaking incessant nitpicking for criticism.

The ring was dead and he punched a car to give it a jolt.

You are absolutely splitting hairs, and you are still acting like there is one monolithic version of Hal Jordan. Which version or era of Hal Jordan?

The only version of Hal Jordan that acts like this one is on this TV show.

You lie about everything which is why I wasn’t talking you. You're an uninteresting drone.

Same. I like the show and I like the main actor. He's pretty solid.

I’ll break down their argument for you. You have to be precisely correct on anything you say but if you hold the show to any standard at all you’re nit picking and splitting hairs. This constant double standard is the proof of their dishonesty and bad faith.

That's not my argument at all. He's saying Jordan never would have done that. It might be true in the sense that he hasn't ever done that exact thing in the comic, and I can't remember that specifically happening in a comic (not that I've read anywhere near all of them), but it is very in-line with how Jordan acts in various eras. Cocky, stubborn , reckless. He can call it fearless, but he knows he's just being annoying with that dispute. Fatkid seems to have a very narrow vision of who Jordan is and should be. Maybe that's informed by a very specific version of Jordan he's familiar with, but, as I keep saying, there is not one continuous version of Jordan with the exact same personality traits and behaviors. Refusing to waste time, thinking (often correctly) that he knows better, and creating headaches for other authority figures are things Jordan does.

And, MK, nitpicking is fine, but when you try present your nitpicking as the obvious examples of bad writing, you sound dumb. The show very clearly communicated that the ring was basically dead, would die very quickly again, and then it died. The 5% doesn't matter. That is not some gotcha on the quality of writing. It looks instead like you're trying desperately to find such gotchas, and settling for nonsense.

Sometimes I plug my dead old phone in, let it charge 10 minutes, and it says it's at 5%. I unplug it, it then dies after only 1 TD response. Did the phone lie to me? I guess so. Am I a naive idiot who thinks the battery life indicator is always 100% accurate? No. You don't have to be either.

It was verbally communicated explicitly because it matters. This inverse reality thing you always try doesn’t work. You clowns did this with Acolyte on a scale that was unbelievable but you’re doing the exact same thing here pretending what’s in the show really isn’t in the show.

This quote is nothing but a contradiction and admission. “It’s fine but it’s not fine” as if you don’t have this and previous posts that prove this statement is 100% dishonest.

Sooo...
About the show.. again.

One of the aliens makes a comment about Hal having a deathwish. He's obviously known throughout the galaxies.

I think it's also obvious that he doesn't trust the guardians. A. He knows of past bull-stuff. B. This trainee is not what he wants.

He doesn't like to wear the suit.

Something tells me all will be redeemed once the season ends.

I wanna know how guy Gardner fits into all this

I’m guessing at some point Stewart gets screwed and relegated to 3rd string

Well, in the 2026 scene of Hal dead, he doesn't have a ring nor does Stewart.

So it has to be on Guy's hand? Yet.. after watching Superman.. the rings dont match.
