I don't care if they ever find anything. I enjoy the show for what it is.

Part of keeping us tuned in is lots of speculation, anticipation, but never finding a damn thing. It is what it is!

It’s a show about digging holes

Like the former show Finding Bigfoot.

"Top Pocket!!"
The metal Detector guy is only bright light of show. No way they find anything to offset the millions spent looking

I thought that part of the story is that some of the first searchers who saw activity on the island at night found 3 treasure chests. The show even talked to some elderly surviving members of the family who confirmed it. Why would they have stopped unless they found everything?
The island has been used for farming and grazing for centuries. The slipway was most likely used to load/unload livestock, not the Ark of the Covenant. And the swamp was most likely the result of those early people to create more grazing/farming land by damming up the small stretch of water between what used to be 2 separate islands.
Also, people have been living there for hundreds of years. If someone living there in 1700 lost great-great-grandma’s broach, it doesn’t mean great-great grandma lived there.
But I record and watch every episode. I like the technology they use like the ground penetrating radar, etc. The metal detecting “expert” is hard to watch - his swing technique is just awful and the recovery methods are likely to damage a good find.

Why would they want them to find it? That would mean the end of the show. Never trust a show that dies when a goal is accomplished.

One of the kids died too, bald bearded guys brother, the silver haired old man partner's kid. Had to look it up...Craig Tester's kid died.

I think the “curse” is that they have to die while actively looking for the treasure.

And saying "Money Pit" as frequently as possible; as if that will make it real.

I just want to know who put these log layers every 10 feet down this deep, and why.

I love the show for some weird reason. Even my daughter agrees the show is stupid, merely because if they found the Ark of the Covenant, it would have made world wide news and not on this show. I watch it now to get sleepy and go to bed. The thought of how much money has been spent by these folks to find nothing...

I'm only in it for the Bobby Dazzlers and the coy-eens.

In the episode that follows Troy getting his arm bit off by a gator.

I really believe that if anything was buried there, it was retrieved or found in the 1700s or around that time.

The “British guy” is Australian.
