Is it me or does this promising season seem to be a disappointment?

Disappointment so far. I think there are a couple of episodes left. Maybe they will get a new piece of paper in a new core sample.

The curse says 7 people have to die and only 6 have died so far.

well the old man Dan Blankenship died. He spent his whole life searching for the treasure. Doesn’t that count as the 7th one to die?

I hadn't heard about that. Maybe they'll find the treasure now.

I have heard rumors of a lost pirate ship with tons of treasure on it that took a wrong turn while going up the Mississippi. It is just sitting there stuck in the swamp mud somewhere in the basin. Think ima give old discovery/history/travel a call and see if we can come up with something. Im ready to cash in on my secret.

There’s something there I think but will it be worth all the money they’re putting into finding it? Idk

They found the treasure, a moronic viewing audience to tune into this awful show.

If they ever found anything, we’d know about it months ahead of time

Yeah that's always been the problem with the show.

It’s like the show Cooper’s Treasure where the main character is trying to lead you to believe that an astronaut, orbiting the earth from a capsule in the 60s/70s, was spotting sunken treasure ships from the 1700s and charting it.

Two seasons and the only thing they find is one Spanish coin in the finale of season 2 and it was probably planted by the producers.

Is this unknown metal object the key to the ark of the covenant left here by the Knights Templar on a secret expedition hundreds of years ago to the new world; or is it a bolt from a faulty chainsaw left by a crew that was digging here in the 1960s? Find out next.

No. My dad watches this show religiously and I can't help but roll my eyes everytime I'm at his house while he's watching it. It's all a bunch of BS made up to sell a tv show.

You realize that Oak Island story has been around for over a hundred years right? I remember reading about it in my grandparent's old Readers Digest back in the day.

I doubt they'll find any treasure, but the archeological stuff they've found is fascinating all on its own. Its obvious something was going on there back at a time when there were no records of it ever being inhabited or a port or anything.
