Whatever Homelander and Black Noir did to Maeve is probably going to be dark as hell. If all they did was kill her or beat her near to death they would've probably shown it on screen. But since whatever they did looks to have been done offscreen (unless we get a flashback, which I doubt), knowing this show and the comics it was probably pretty dark.

What do you mean? Maeve is just at the Global Wellness retreat in Malibu.

I was hoping to see a little more fallout of Homelander being a shitty boss, but guess that will be coming soon. We did see him gut at least one department and surround himself with yesmen.

I'm starting to think Homelander is the GOAT villain.
The actor who plays him is incredible in that role.

What gets me is that the dude is in his late 40s.

This was him on Xena in the mid 90s:

Nearly everything he did prior was in New Zealand (which explains how he ended up on Xena, which I'm fairly certain was filmed there).

He was the lead in Banshee, and that show was over the top with violence and sex...but in all of the best ways.

In Banshee his acting could be overly broody a lot of the time. But you could see some of the facial expressions in that show that he obviously worked on and perfected for his Homelander role.

I thought that was a really good scene. That board woman was just asking him a legit financial question that the board should be discussing, and he immediately realized that he didn't know what any of it meant. This is a guy that thinks he's better than everyone else in every way including intelligence, and said as much in his tv speech a couple episodes back. And you could see it in his eyes and facial expression as soon as she said it, and for a split second he started to panic internally because of his insecurity. But then his coping mechanism kicked in, and he deflected to accusing her of thinking she should be running the board. She was lucky Ashley is a quick thinker, and got her out of there.

Yep, you hit the nail on the head. I loved it. I do hope Ashley gets killed at some point I just can't stand her.

the Timothy scene was definitely hard to watch.

Anything fricked up involving The Deep is hard for me to watch. The gills and all that shite just gives me the heebie geebies.

The fact that all of this was clear as day with no exposition needed is a sign of fantastic writing, acting, and directing.

A lot of the characters are actually pretty complex. The interaction between Huey and Annie is another good example - it feels natural and you just get it. It could easily be cliche as frick at a lot of times but it’s not, for the most part.

But yeah, Homelander definitely takes the cake. One of the things I’ve noticed this season is that while he’s a raging narcissist and hungry for power, he’s not just pure evil. You can tell he doesn’t want to go out and kill everyone, but you also feel like it could happen at any moment. Again.. great writing, directing, and acting.

Can the temporary V cure all injuries?

When ATtains brother got paralyzed, that was my first thought, why can't they give him the V. I'm not loving his storyline, around his health. If he has no powers, then why is he still in the 7?

Hughie has perhaps the worst powers ever. Teleporting is kind of cool. But he is only doing it a couple of feet and loses his clothes every time. It's funny, but doesn't really help that much.

I was thinking she might have some redemption at some point since starlight almost got through to her in the other scene.

She's also weirdly almost hot, but then that nose catches the rays of the sun and recreates the dark side of the moon cover art.

She is the corporate drone personified, which makes her extremely unlikeable.

I feel sorry for the guy at this point. He's been out through some bad shite and been abused by Vought and homelander. He's obviously just dumb as shite most of the time, bur he's done plenty of fricked up shite too, especially when Annie joined the team originally. But his stupidity kind of makes you feel for him.

This is one of those rare shows where the creators has a clear vision and nailed every single casting decision perfectly. I can't think of an actor who hasn't perfectly fit their role. I just hope they can stick the landing. So many shows run off the rails at some point. This one has managed to deliver perfectly for 2.5 seasons so far.

My thing is I just don't know where this season is going. The tension just gets higher and higher each week. A lot of the conflicts are coming out into the open now. Homelander is aware or at least pretty sure almost everyone is plotting against him. Hughie could be headed for some bad shite with his V problem. Frenchie is about to get fricked up by the Russians. So many bad things to come.

His name is Anthony Starr and I thought he was on Animal Kingdom for several seasons as Baz. But apparently Baz was played by Scott Speedman. For a few years I thought they were the same dude.

This season is okay but I liked the first two a good bit better. I think Homelander psychologically torturing people is a lot less interesting than him going around and doing crazy stuff like last season.

Also, I really miss Elizabeth Shue, her character was awesome and I like how she had some power over Homelander.

He's done a bit more than psychological torture. He destroyed starlight's childhood friend and we have no idea what he's done to maeve yet.

Well, if Homelander wants to commit psychological warfare with Maeve instead of killing her, I suppose he could just squeal to her ex-girlfriend that she banged Butcher
