There’s no power scaling on this show. Characters powers are whatever they need to be in that moment and they’re all invincible now when before they weren’t. I couldn’t believe how bad the beginning of S5 was and it got progressively worse as it went on.

I can't help but feel like that would be almost impossible to keep contained. Sprinkler systems aren't exactly as secure as the vial he was keeping the virus in.
I can have some suspension of disbelief but couldn't do it on that one.

This show went off the rails. Butchers character would have pulled that trigger without all the drama. A better ending for Homelander would have been to face the people of the world as a normal human.

Glad i didnt watch this bullshite week to week, but still took 3 days to slog through 8 episodes. Shame i was too invested to not watch. Would have been better if huey died and frenchy lived, since he's the only person in the show that actually has character development...but that would require huey actually having a set of balls instead of a frame full of estrogen. Nice how Butcher just didnt bother looking around enough to find and kill soldier boy while he was incapacitated too.

God...the writing was so awful, there was no continuity in world...that was GoT finale bad.
Bad dialogue, bad jokes (although homelander trying to fly after losing powers was pretty funny)
It was just so obviously a pathetic fantasy of violence against people they hate...but came across as desperate and impotent.
The flipping off the viewer at the end was just the shitty icing on a dook cake.

Show started good and escalated to dumb really quickly. people always cry about posters bringing politics to the board, but the reality is you have to when you have retarded writers like this show has

They confuse posters bringing politics to the board with posters pointing out the politics dripping throughout the writing. They confuse it either because they aren't versed well enough in politics to understand that they are being philosophically groomed or else they agree with the stances (so they don't see it as politics).

The writers and director must have some sick minds. Many scenes were over the top vile.
Didn't understand getting flipped off in the end.

It’s because they knew what they were doing and who they were making fun of, and hated most of the people who watched the show. And very blatantly told people/fans who disagreed with them politically to frick right off.

I don't understand why they changed the story from the comics so much.
Spoilers....
Apparently in the comics, Black Noir raped Becca and framed Homelander (Homelander had periods of blacking out and believed he was the one that raped her). In the end Black Noir kills Homelander, it is revealed that Black Noir is actually Homelanders cloned and while Homelander is a bad person, most of Homelanders most vile stuff was actually Black Noir the whole time. Butcher then kills Black Noir. This would have been and much better story line and great twist, IMO

Just finished watching this and the people bitching and moaning that HL is just a Trump surrogate and the writers are ate up with TDS are hilarious.
Trump is the reason you see him in most of the stupidity. He literally posted a meme of himself as Jesus before this shite even released, yet the writers are the mentally messed-up ones. Even worse, you all act like he didn't do that.
As for the season, it was meh, but had some good points. They left the ending (without virus released) and Vought still there because it allows for a continuation with spinoffs. It's not that shocking. It's stupid story-wise, but would have made more sense if they found a way to reverse the V and super powers thus making them immune to the virus. They had time now with HL out of the way and the Seven disbanded.

I get your point, but you do realize that the creators of the show have come out before and basically said that literal, exact thing, and that Trump is 100% who they are making fun of, and that if people don't like it they can frick off and not watch the show, right?
People don't bitch and complain about random political shite being in the show when it really isn't. The creators very much shove that shite into the show as much as possible. It's their goal, from their own words.
And for the record, I don't care if shows make fun of political shite (whether on my side or the other side), as long as it's clever/good/funny/etc. I can laugh at my own beliefs just as much as I can at someone else's in opposition to mine.

I binged the whole series in a couple weeks time. I watched the first 3 seasons over memorial weekend alone because it rained for 3 days. Man, those first 2 seasons were good.
By binging it, the eyerolling politics, the gore, and the sexual BS were so much worse than watching an episode here or there. I fast forwarded through all of it. It was so stupid and unnecessary.
