Yes, everyone understands. Hitler bad. Anyone growing up in America post World War II has had that hardwired into their genetic understanding of global politics.

Which makes it all the more confusing as to why we’re seeing such a resurgence in the accusations, mainly directed at those who were most proud of defeating that piece of shite.

Hasn’t he literally said the opposite about the last season or two? I feel like I remember him saying something in terms of like “yeah it’s about (Trump, for example)… if you don’t like it, don’t watch it.” ??

I love The Boys. It’s definitely slanted more toward the left and against the right, but that doesn’t bother me too much because that’s not what I watch it for. The quality is up and down at times, and the weird sexual shite is weird as frick, but overall I dig the show.

I just hope they end it well, because they’ve had chances to do things to benefit the show in the past and failed at that. So I’m to least hopeful that they can get their shite together.

Nazis are a built in enemy. Indiana Jones. Multiple movies. Even Star Wars modeled the empire after the Nazis.
They are just all around bad. Instead of distancing from them. People are almost defending against using them as villains.
Most sane people don't equate nazis and the current right. Why do you care what radical liberals think of you? So the point is moot.
When you want to have a villain with built in hate you do Nazis or maybe Klan.
Or red soviets but since we kiss China arse that is rare.

Never watched. I had read bits and pieces of the first comic run, and the whole idea was subversive storytelling running against the “good guys wear capes” grain. So none of this surprises me.

This is an entirely different thread topic, but it is every single member of the left’s political structure.

I, with near 100% certainty, could find a video of every single major leftist politician calling those on the right fascists and Nazis.

Movies or universes made 40-50 years ago.

Pretty soon, we won’t have a single living soul who has met an actual Nazi.

WW2 ended 80 years ago.

The fatigue of them constantly being the enemies aside, Hollywood has used them to push political stances and try to paint their political opposition (Republicans) as Nazis in movies, sometimes subtly and sometimes blatantly.

Those who are right-leaning see every mention of naziism as some attempt by Hollywood to insult them now, correctly or incorrectly.

Why writers and producers can’t simply stick with what worked and what people loved about it will always be lost on me.

The Boys is adapted from a work of political satire that heavily features actual Nazis.

I was referencing the actual comic story at that point in the post.

The comic’s story is far and away a better product than the tv show version.

The characters are better.

The plot is better.

The writers and producers should have simply stuck to the original plot.

The final battle between Billy and Homelander and then the subsequent endgame between Hughie and Butcher.

You're veering way off course now. Indiana Jones was SET in the 1930's.

A long time ago, in a galaxy far, far away...

No, people are tired of being accused of sympathizing with and being branded 'Nazis' for having a difference of opinion with regards to border security and political opinions. No one is DEFENDING Nazis.

Literally every Democratic politician, members of the entertainment industry who cater to the Left...

Lying about conservatives is what is getting people murdered. That's why.

For starters, it lacks imagination. It's tired. Old. And extremely narrow minded. And what about communists? Odd how you always ignore them. Why do you think that is?

Ahh, there it is, tacked on at the very end. Guess you'll need to ask Disney why that is, as they have bent over backwards to cater to the CCP.

Accusing people of painting with a broad brush by painting with a broad brush.

No, literally every Democrat. That's not hyperbole. All of them, all the late night TV 'hosts' are routinely calling conservatives 'fascists' and it's filtered down to the militant street thugs and paid protestors .

Nazis are the bad guy always will be.

Both are garbage.
And commies are worse.

I just call them like I see them, you're dumb. I know that's not what you want to hear, but you are. There are ways to prove that you aren't. And you avoid them.

First season was fun as hell. Second season was ok. Don’t even think I made it past a couple episodes in the third.
