It is pretty easy to argue that at its core SW has always been a space western/space opera hybrid. As mentioned Cad Bane is a huge fan favorite and his look was spot on and the entrance was perfect for his character. The Outer Rim is pretty much an analog to the wild West and Tattoine has always been an analog for the desert South West from the scenery to the institutions and the characters. Don't overlook the score for the entire Mandalorian could have been lifted right out of a spaghetti western.

Plus maybe he had been to Mos Pelgo before and parked his ship out in the flats to avoid the ire of Barney Fife. Just because he is a bounty hunter and kills people for a living it doesn't mean he always flaunts the law.

es, Anakin fell from grace because of family attachment issues, but Luke's whole story was littered with family attachments which were key in Darth's redemption, running to save Han/Leia on Bespin, losing his father-figure Obi-wan, training his sister & nephew, etc.

According to the Disney history version I believe Kyle Ren is listed as the first student of Luke’s or I guess I should say Ben Solo. So that would lead us to believe Grogu goes with Mando.

Plus in 20 years Ben Solo after Luke tries to kill him while sleeping, SW8, destroys the temple we just saw and killed all the students.

Please don't mention those movies in this thread. This is a thread for actual Star Wars talk. those 3 movies aren't Star Wars.
As far as i'm concerned, i have no idea what happens after this last episode in the Star Wars world. I don't know who Ben Solo is, b/c he doesn't exist in this universe yet.

Unfortunately we are living in the Disney universe but even in legends the solo twins were sent to train with Luke. The fortunate part is we have the right people telling the story.

In the expanded universe which F & F are taping into I think we are going to see a lot things corrected that were butchered in the future story that Disney already told us.

And for the record I hated all 3 of those movies

What Kennedy did to Luke's character is absolutely criminal. The same guy that refused to give up on his father, Darth freaking Vader, when everyone else including Obi-Wan and Yoda refused to believe there was any good left in him, would plot to kill his own nephew just because he sensed him starting to turn to the dark side (not even fully there yet) is ludicrous.

They turned Luke Skywalker, one of the biggest heroes in movie history, into an absolute failure. If the mouse can't see what a huge mistake that was, and try their best to fix that, then they care nothing about their franchise and the fans of the franchise. The way they ruined the biggest hero in their franchise is beyond insane.

Perhaps we've all just been wrong about who "The Mandalorian" is. Mandalorian is a creed not a race remember? What if the show is centered on Grogu and not Din Djarin. Grogu leaves Luke's academy so canon stays put that Ben was his first student. Grogu at some point defeats Din in a battle to claim the Darksaber and he's The Mandalorian.

Someone could also defeat the mandalorian and grogu beats that person.
Like din and mof fight, din loses but grogu avenges somehow.

Din doesn't have to die to lose the saber

Bane put that dent in Boba's helmet (although I don't know how well that actually holds up now with how they've built up beskar)
Pretty sure Boba armor is not made of beskar.

Mando S1 showed that it’s an extremely rare material. Din having enough for a single piece of armor was a huge deal, let alone the whole set.

There is some evidence it is not pure beskar but beskar reinforced durasteel.

What they are doing with Luke and Grogu is why I play Sith on SWtOR. My understanding about Luke in the old EU was he was more Grey than Light side. He even got married.

This show got much better after it turned back into The Mandalorian.

The young Luke CGI was crazy good.
