The entire population of Alderaan as well as the Hosnian system, plus everyone who died in every other context of all the Star Wars movies both on and off screen. We're talking literally billions, possibly over a trillion, lives lost because this guy just had to meddle in the lives of a junk dealer and his slaves. Even a teenage Obi-Wan calls him out on it.

Palpatine still gets himself elected and becomes the Emperor, Death Star still gets created etc.

Well if you think about it, all of the chaos that Anakin/Vader caused was because he wanted to get his dick wet.

He was just an instrument of the Force. Anakin was going to come to power regardless - it was his destiny.

Yeah but there wouldn't be any reason to blow up alderan without Leia throwing a fit and just doing what she was told.

Literally everyone calls Qui Gon out on his bullshite. No one ever agrees with him or his plans. He just tells them to shut the frick up and refuses to listen to reason. He's an idiot drunk who is without question the worst Jedi of all time.

If Luke isn't born there may have been no end to Palpatine's rule. Even more lives may have been killed.

What makes you think Luke wouldn't be born? Padme still might have gone to tatooine and had some hot slave sex.

If that was the case, wouldn't everything Qui is being blamed for happen anyway?

bullshite, Qui-Gon isn't responsible for the choices Anakin and Kylo Ren made. They made those decisions of their own volition.

Moreover, the "too old to start training" bit used in the prequels was crap. We get no mention of that in the originals, Luke is fricking 20 when he starts training and Rey is even older in the new one. It was a cheap way to try and add validity to Anakin's turn to the dark side. There is no reason to believe thet mattered at all.

Without Qui-Gon, the trade federation captures Padme, they never encounter Jar Jar and thus never get the invaluable aid of the Gungans, the group never makes it off Tatooine and there is nobody to blow up the trade federation ship.

Without Qui-Gon everyone important does in episode 1 and there is nobody to stop Palpitine.

Having a high midichlorian count doesn't make one a mass murderer, but in Star Wars all mass murderers have a high midichlorian count.

that was the old Jedi order bruh.

Even Yoda had his reservations about Luke as well.

The Jedi order got pretty desperate wouldn't you say? Don't really think they had a choice in turning down a 20 year old look.

At the time of Anakin, he was old as shite compared to all the others and their reservations were correct...

They weren't "correct", they exploited a cheap plot device. There is nothing from any other movie or any other Jedi to indicate that's actually a thing. Lucas just made it up because he thought Anakin simply turning bad wasn't a good enough explanation.

How do you know this? Honest question?

I just don't think comparing Anakin to Luke and Rey years later when the Jedi order is completely different ala almost nonexistent is very prudent.

I always thought of it as a gymnastics/racing type thing. Yeah, you can technically be a good Jedi if you start in your later years, but it's almost impossible to become great/elite without starting insanely young.
