It really isn’t. Got some diversity, sure. But the messaging isn’t that deep so far. Not very preachy. Messages were way more in your face in Andor.
The Ascension ritual was extremely silly. I think it would have benefitted from the chanting not being in English. I find most ritual scenes look silly when the audio isn’t right, and the audio wasn’t right here. Most times they use a made up language or gibberish to sound alien or mysterious. This was just chanting in English. In The Clone Wars the nightsister chants aren’t English, it would only benefit if we didn’t hear all that.

Filoni doesn't have a perfect record, he has some missteps and parrots the same company line as a lot of people there.

Probably doesn’t want them near Dathomir since his Ahsoka series is fleshing out some backstory for that already. Tales of the Empire also had an episode that featured another, different clan of witches that also live on Dathomir. So if that planet can be home to multiple different ideologies… might as well make the ones on a different planet a different type as well.
