I think it’s clear, and has been for a while, that Disney just doesn’t care about the quality of their shows as long as the shows try to target every single demographic in order to get as many subscriptions to Disney+ as possible. But because they’re more worried about subscribers and money, they fail to realize just how much the quality varies from show to show. Look at Loki then look at She-Hulk. Look at Andor then look at this show. There’s no standard. The only standard is inclusiveness so that way more people will want to subscribe

I don’t disagree with you. But I’ll say that Netflix will throw out your standard fare that has representation on par with America as it is and then the over-inclusiveness. I,e. Bridgerton, Adam Project, Red Notice, Outer Banks, Stranger Things, Knives Out, Grey Man, Extraction, Witcher etc. (at least season 1 and 2.). I’m not saying those are all the same but most liked them regardless of DEI

Disney feels the need to make over-inclusiveness happen every single show.

They undo their own cannon all the time but I think your idea is kind of how they’ll try to do it. The Sith will learn this new power from these witches. One way or another this lesbian witch clan will be credited with being the most powerful force users ever, they’ll be responsible for the Siths incredible power and for the coming of Anakin.

I kinda think the mother Witch may have learned it from the Sith. There is a reason they don’t want the Jedi to learn about how they were created.

I also think a Sith may be mentally manipulating Mae in this episode, similar to how they try to establish Palpatine was manipulating Ben Solo.

Nothing really damaging the lore in this show. Witches seem similar to witches of Dathomir. Not necessarily exactly like the Nightsisters. I think they fall between the Nightsisters and the peaceful magic tribe we see on Dathomir in Tales of the Empire.

It is not. The Force created Anakin, this has not been changed. He is a counter to all the unnatural meddling with the force that Palpatine and his master were doing.

There is a comic where Anakin/Vader has dark visions/fears that he could have been created by the Sith. But that comic panel is not actually how he came to be.

Guys, this isn’t the first time the nightsisters have appeared. They live alone and secluded, they’re powerful force users, and they’re all women. There are many clone wars episodes that document this. There’s a lot to criticize about this show so far, I don’t think creating a lesbian woke cult is one of them.

You’d think we never saw a tribe of force-weilding witches in Star Wars before. And just because the main two witches are lesbian, it also doesn’t mean the entire tribe is. The Nightsisters weren’t.

The purposeful exclusion of white men is a big part of it. Not a fan of ultra woke racism. Are you?

The lesbian space witch burning the book and setting the village on fire is a perfect metaphor for Star Wars as a whole.

He thinks "woke" stuff is a all a conspiracy theory of fragile white people.

He denies a pretty good chunk of reality to secure that POV.

He will ask shite like that, people will answer, and he will keep asking and say nobody is answering

It is his go to move. Most people just ignore him.

This seems like a cope. Far be it from me to stop you from thinking this, if it helps you find joy.

It’s a massive cope. Apparently I’m told the night sisters come from the EU books idk I’ve never read one of them. I do know almost no one alive would even know the high republic era existed if disney didn’t force EA to include details of it in Jedi Survivor, which is an incredibly good video game, and actually super fricking diverse which is very rare. I feel the same is mostly true for the night sisters prior to that games prequel Jedi fallen order. The night sisters in that game are actually super cool and interesting though on the desolate planet Dathomir. They’re not a coven of cringe diverse space lesbians larping like they can produce children to together.

Sweet, sweet summer child. Do you believe that the collective forces in charge of this shitshow are going to have the female representation of themselves learn something form men?

a Nightsister is a party member in Jedi Fallen Order and Survivor.

She is pretty awesome

And Merrin is a horny little hetero, too.

I mean Rey wanted to learn from Luke.

But turns out she just needed to believe in herself, or whatever the dumb feminist trope is. . .

And you call yourself a Star Wars fan?

Let me help you out. The Force created Anakin. And it created him in response to the experiments Darth Plageus was doing to manipulate the Midichlorians to bring living beings back to life. These experiments included Plageus torturing and killing the same beings over and over and forcing the midichlorians to restore them back to life. These experiments were an abomination to the Force and brought unbalance to the Force. The Force itself responded by creating Anakin. Only at the end of the experiments did Sidious, who was the apprentice to Plageus at that time, even know about, much less participate in the experiments. His role in the experiments was limited at best. In fact, Sidious never even discovered how Plageus was doing it. He murdered Plageus before leading the secret of how to make the midichlorians create life. He even admitted as much to Anakin.

Did you not read the rest of my post before you replied I spoke about survivor and fallen order. Merrin is a great character. Even if they did make her way uglier and transish in survivor she’s still cute ish.

What i don't understand is where did these witches come from and how did they learn the ways of the force?

They obviously aren't from Dathomir since they aren't on Dathomir, nor have they mentioned anything about Dathomir or the Nightsisters, but the one lesbo mom that claims she carried the twins has the horns like the men of Dathomir. Knowing the writer, am i to assume she's a transgender biological man from Dathomir?

It would make a whole lot more sense if this was a clan that broke away from Dathomir at some point.
The reason the witches of Dathomir became so powerful is b/c a Jedi trained them 600 years ago, and also that planet has always had the dark side doing something on it.

So if these lesbians didn't come from Dathomir, where the hell did they come from? There aren't clans of powerful force users in the galaxy outside of Jedi and Dathomir.

There really is no excuse for the trash fire that is the Witcher tv show. The novels are already written more or less like your standard television show structure wise after the short stories (which season 1 covered pretty well I thought other than inventing way too much yennefer stuff which was a harbinger for things to come) and the first novel blood of elves which the show just decided to skip mostly cuz they’re talentless hacks.
