I can’t watch that again. Why would you try to blind someone who didn’t know what they were clicking?

I watched a valiant renegade vid yesterday (if you don’t know who he is he is a YouTuber that covers entertainment but mostly Disney through a mostly only finance perspective since he works as a financial manager) and he broke down how this show at 180 million dollars as it’s listed budget (which it almost certainly is much more however) is basically production per minute entertainment at 2x the cost Warner Bros is for house of the dragon. How the hell has Wall Street not intervened in this clown car?

Nelson Pelz tried multiple times but the Blackrock money just keeps propping up this idiocy because the propaganda is more important than people actually watching it.

There really is no excuse for the trash fire that is the Witcher tv show. The novels are already written more or less like your standard television show structure wise after the short stories (which season 1 covered pretty well I thought other than inventing way too much yennefer stuff which was a harbinger for things to come) and the first novel blood of elves which the show just decided to skip mostly cuz they’re talentless hacks.
Nailed it. Though I agree they are talentless hacks, I think they were allowed free reign on the Witcher franchise to use as their political messaging soapbox and they took full advantage.

He doesn't know anything, and Hollywood is a shady place. Read up on Hollywood accounting practices. Studios throw out these numbers for tax breaks.

the vast majority of women who are not into Star Wars aren’t that way due to lack of “representation”. Instead they’re not into Star Wars because they don’t find sy-fi interesting in general
This is THE most important point when discussing Disney Star Wars. I have been saying the same thing. Women like what they like and men like what they like. You cannot make certain women like shite that doesn't interest them like Science Fiction, football, Rocky movies, etc. Making a product for an audience that will not consume it is one of the dumbest things that a IP or company can do. But that is exactly what Disney Star Wars and Disney Marvel now is doing. They don't care either.

I have no idea if he “knows anything” or not but I can do math and the math he did checks out. WB produces HOTD at half the cost Disney produces the Acolyte for per minute. That’s a fricking joke and you can white knight for it if you choose to no one will take you seriously.
Much of their films and shows until recently because it became too humiliating were done in the UK for tax purposes. That requires they be made public. Are you suggesting UK is in a conspiratorial partnership to hide Disney’s cluster frick from the public or something? They’re producing fake public tax documents are they? Clown.

I just saw a comment on a YouTube video I didn’t wanna pass it off as my own but it’s hilarious

No one's "white knighting" for Disney, relax Francis. I'm talking about all studios, the numbers they report should be taken with a grain of salt. They are very good at lying about this shite.
Again, read up on Hollywood accounting. It's very interesting to learn about.

Sorry I was a little over aggressive. I’m just beyond tired of constant trash entertainment being produced nonstop on the DEI pipeline to hell. HOTD in a few days is going to be a massive breath of fresh air and even will carry surprises for fans who read fire and blood as they’re expanding on characters like Jayce and Baela into more or less main character status. That’s talent.

I don't know how many are actually watching the show, but I tried to give it a chance.
I thought the first two episodes were slow, but watchable.
The third was just...complete trash. It might be one of the worst episodes of television I've ever watched. The acting was trash. The writing was trash. So many scenes didn't make sense. The Thread? The frick is that?

THE POWER OF ONE! THE POWER OF TWO! THE POWER OF MANYYYYYYYYY!
Posted on 6/12/24 at 10:24 am to DisplacedBuckeye
I watched the first two episodes on D+ because I generally pay for what I consume but if you produce just straight up trash to the point it’s only possible valuable is laughing along with everyone at it’s awfulness, I’m going to steal it. So I pirated episode 3 and will do the same for the rest of the season.

Is the rug gonna be pulled out later and somehow the Jedi started the fire and killed all the witches? I just don’t see how I’m supposed to root for the witches and/or Mae. They are clearly weird and evil and cultish
Have a strong feeling that this is where we are headed. But even in the best case, the Jedi are ATF and the LESBIANS... IN .... SPAAAAACE are the Branch Davidians.

“This isn't about good or bad, this is about power, and who is allowed to use it.”
Disney not hiding anything

But I don’t think Star Wars fans would really give a shite if it was just WELL WRITTEN
Couldn't agree more. I love to call out both sides of the aisle for being sensitive snowflakes about culture wars. But this isn't about some type of conservative backlash against woke culture. It's just absolutely abysmal writing. All the worse because it's obvious that the writing is abysmal in order to shoehorn whatever agenda the writers have. I have no issue with this being a lesbian couple, or a lesbian coven, or whatever. What I do have an issue with is that the coven exists solely to portray some craptastic agenda. Its lazy, unimaginative, and sophomoric. No one cares if you want to include that in the story, just make it make actual sense.
