TWO different characters
They're identical in every way! She's not 'acting', she's cosplaying herself!
Let's see...
Patty Duke did it better in The Patty Duke Show, back in the 1960's.
A young Lindsay Lohan did it better in Parent Trap. A remake of the original staring Haley Mills, which also did it better.
And of course Tatiana Maslany did a far better job playing multiple versions of herself in Orphan Black.
It's been done time and time again, and this is nothing new or remotely special.

She is way more annoying in person.

Wrong, wrong, wrong. First off the Death Stars had artificial atmospheres for personnel and the rest of the space stations were made up of explosive gases and chemicals to power the weapons. Finally if you have ever seen an explosion in space it looks quite similar and with the makeup of the Death Stars would look pretty close to what we saw. There have even been articles praising the accuracy of the Death Star explosions.

the corona is somewhat accurate (added years after the original came out) but the giant fireball is not.

No Sammy there are mounted guns operated manually outside of the Death Star. The tractor beam hanger and the hanger where the emperors shuttle lands are both open to space.

180 million dollars for campfires in space? On par with with space horsies charging into battle on the hull of a Star Destroyer
I was so sad sitting in a theater and laughing at how bad the space horses were. Putting All the DEI nonsense aside, the writing for most SW properties has been just unforgivably atrocious. I don’t know how Andor snuck through the system, but I couldn’t bring myself to watch it for a long while because I just expected more of the same. Some on here tried to defend the partial birth abortion that was Kenobi. I’m not sure if I’ll be able to force myself to watch this tripe or not. Seeing the white knighting centered only around DEI issues rather than focusing on the show’s positives and then devolving into “it’s not that bad because other stuff had bad writing too” hasn’t exactly been a selling point.
I guess I’m asking for those who are “enjoying” this, what has it brought to the table?

The show is terrible.
Thats all that needs to be said.
Garbage fanfic with mystery box writing and full scale DEI.

Lol why the frick is this thread at 30 pages?
I get hating it, but all this attention does is give Star Wars more ammo to do shows like this.
Clearly a lot of people in this thread who are shitting on it are watching it.

This is a bot level criticism.
At least Roaad talks about what happens in the show.

Like other IP's, fans have enjoyed things like Star Wars for decades. The hate is legit, as those in charge now are actively destroying what once was fantastic escapism for many people. Now? It's nothing but trash, used to deliver a DEI Message. Nothing more.
And finally, there's a world of difference between a 'flash' of kinetic energy and a slow burning campfire which flickers in the 'solar?' wind.

1. The Hanger having airlock is less believable the entire
moon sized space station? There are no people visible
on the turrets. They have to be inside them.
2. Assume everything you said is true, the Deathstar having an atmosphere would explain the entire station having an atmosphere. It’s in space. it’s a space station.
Also there is no evidence of an atmosphere as the XWings approach.

and a giant fireball. You are picking and choosing when you want escapism and when you want to criticize hyper realism.

No Star Wars in it, you mean.
But now you're just gaslighting. The Force is lesbian, grrrrl power, all white men are idiots or need to just off themselves for imaginary guilt which is so contrived and lame it defies explanation.

Plenty of Star Wars.

The 4 jedi that are supposed to have “imaginary guilt” are a white woman, a white male, an asian male and a fricking wookie.
You have to ignore 75% of the group to make this some
projection of white male guilt.

There’s no airlock and yes people are clearly visible on the outside.

If the critics are even half right, the backpedaling you're going to have to do after the next two episodes will be funny to watch.
