One more question…. Did the twins really both survive……..?

I think so.

she was with the Jedi’s when Tommen Jedi guy was attacked for the first time.

Would be a wild twist if it was just her and her subconscious

Well alot of it is weird and stupid but letting a total stranger with their face covered into a Jedi Temple after a Jedi master had just been murdered seems kinda stupid.

she deactivated the security droid.

i’d have to watch again but vaguely remember the person she passed also having on a purple hood.

But i wouldn’t call that “the investigation”
that’s just temple security.

In many ways, the Acolyte is the "most promising" bit of Star Wars media if only because it is set in a time period where, in theory, the writers have more creative freedom to tell stories.

The biggest problem is that everything Star Wars related that comes out of Disney feels so homogenized and devoid of risk.

This is likely because any plot probably has to receive approval from 40 different people and anything involving established legacy characters has to be thoroughly vetted and approved. This results in shows that drip feed us memorable moments, but are by and large boring and pointless.

Time will tell if the High Republic era suffers from the same problem.

I will say that the show's production value does seem to be a clear step up from other Star Wars Disney Plus shows that I have seen, but even the Acolyte doesn't compare visually speaking to something like House of the Dragon or a Netflix/Amazon series. The background Jedi extras in particular look like they belong in a 1995 Sony Playstation FMV game.

I didn’t mean that as part of the investigation just that it was really dumb and would never happen. As far as the investigation goes it’s a mess at every turn from them sending just 1 master and a padawan after someone who’s killed two Jedi masters to the multiple trips back and forth to pickup prisoners instead of investigating the crash site when you’re already there to the ridiculous premise which Mae was arrested under, then while knowing she’s a suspect allowing her access to your computers to giving her weapons and making her part of the team. It’s just stupid, everything they do makes no sense at all. Post is running long I know and I haven’t even covered all the dumb shite, there’s more.

I watched the first 2 episodes last night. The acting is terrible. Osha is played by a baaaaad actress. She certainly shouldn't be the lead. The fight scenes are terrible. The story is all over the fricking place. It's just sloppy and seems rushed.

And the burning space fire......

I thought she did good. She's 1000 times better than the actress who played Reva in Obi Wan.

I'm not a big fan of Mae's characterization though. I think the point is for the audience to empathize with her more, but she switches too quickly between mysterious evil assassin and normal girl.

I am hoping for a decent twist at some point.
Osha having a Twin that’s alive can’t even be considered a twist considering how early we learned about it.

So it’s pretty clear that the 4 jedi are involved in their family’s death. 2 are dead, there is the wookiee and I would wager the green chick is in on it.

I don’t really know what the mystery to me the viewer is supposed to be.

I get Osha probably has no idea but it seems like Mae does.

Sol has told conflicting stories about seeing mae die and then thinking she died but Mae doesn’t try and kill him. sage doesn’t think he’s involved.

I truly hope they continue down this path and triple down on their fight against masculinity. Then, they can let women support the franchise and watch them be as successful as the WNBA...

Ignoring the fact that it was Mae who set the fire, which killed everyone in their little lesbian commune?
