These shows are all the same, some sloppily put together, vapid story to push their crap with a little key jangling and the show runner injecting themselves into the OT narrative to make it look like they were there first or were the cause of whatever beloved part of the canon they want to stamp their name on. It’s pathetic, lazy and it ruins all the continuity within the IP.

I think everyone that watched the show can agree it was not as "woke" as the interviews leading up to it led them to believe.

No, it was much worse.
"It was the work of one flawed man."

Was she talking about Sol, Harvey Weinstein or George Lucas himself?

Idk. Never watched her interviews because I don't care what she has to say.
Every person has flaws, not just men

This was a quote from a character in the series. Who also happens to be Leslye Headland's partner IRL.

Every person has flaws, not just men
Try telling that to Hollywood.

So why not just say “one flawed Jedi”
Why’d she have to say “one flawed man”

You're defending a cover up and lying to the Jedi council?
Why?
I mean, it's totally on brand for you, I get that part.
But what heinous crime did Sol do? Mae and Osha murdered how many Jedi?
You, like Hollywood, have your priorities upside down.

Because this was always Leslye (former personal assistant to Harvey Weinstein) Headland's self-insert into the Star Wars franchise. She stated that she wanted to see herself, see HER life as a lesbian reflected in the story.
And it's what current day Hollywood has become.

what are we talking about?
Am i defending it as a story device or am i defending the characters actions?
Well he broke I to the coven and murdered the mom when he got scared.
Not great.
But that’s not the point.
He is being used as a scape goat. So he is being blamed for heinous things.
And we the viewers are not supposed to like that. It’s not portrayed as a good thing.

Nothing Lucasfilm is doing makes any sense. Right out of the gate they get things right (for the most part) with Mandalorian seasons 1 & 2 and then they just screw everything up.
There are too many timelines, and the quality gets worse and worse with each show. I get that they are trying to "build the brand" by appealing to new and different types of people, but they aren't building squat.I do not see anything out in popular culture where kids, teens, girls, or gays are clamoring for more Star Wars.

They just wanted the satisfaction of bending a powerful and popular franchise to their will. That's all it's about.
Is the future going to be all about various anti-traditional sexual fetishes? That's what the star wars writing seems to believe.

Wait, didn't Sol disobey the Jedi council by going there to try and "recruit" Osha? See, the bad writing of the Jedi having the RIGHT to test her but yet also with her mom's permission is stupid. That makes zero sense.
It might be nice to have someone explain WHY Osha wants to become a Jedi in the 1st place. What about the Jedi appealed to her? And why the frick did Mae want to MURDER her own twin? That's seriously F'd up!
But despite feeling creepily 'connected' because of a dream (Luke & Ben Solo, anyone?) to a young girl, Sol didn't murder anyone. She went all smoke monster on him, he acted in self-defense and then she nonsensically corporealized back around his ignited light saber.
Oh, and oh by the way, the witches mind fricked a wookie who can pull the arms off of a person even without the power of the Force, who started attacking his own group.
It was Jedi Trinity (don't care about her character's name) who 'murdered' all those witches, to free the wookie.
The whole show made no damn sense. It was bad writing by those who have no clue what they're doing.
The whole damn show is an allegory of the Jedi acting as the cops, the thugs of "society" trying to come down on the coven of lesbian space witches who just want to groom their own kids with the Thread.

the counsel said they wouldn’t take osha. Indarra said they had a right to test them. doesn’t mean the mother has to ageee to let them assert that right (people with people’s can deny rights) In the scene it was her trying to get the mother to agree.

It’s pretty clear if you’re at the show.
Osha wants to leave and see more than just the coven. Mae doesn’t. Mae doesn’t actually want to murder Osha. They’re fighting but she sets the fire on accident.

Again, if you watched the show you’d know that’s not what happened.
He broke into her coven and then as she started to turn incorporeal he stabbed her.
The whole point is that in that moment he thinks he’s doing the right thing but then finds out how wrong he is.

That happened after Sol
killed the mom.

no, the description of the show you listened to didn’t make sense.

Started to turn into a smoke monster? Really? And he's not supposed to reflectively defend himself?

Of COURSE he's wrong! That's what is so laughably absurd about all of this! He disobeys the council, and other Jedi tag along to go test Osha... This is so unlike what Jedi are supposed to be, but the show doesn't have any clue what it's doing. It needs rogue Jedi to have its anti-authority fetish story. That's the point.
*And Osha wants to 'go see the galaxy' or whatever? Does leaving one strict order of Force uses to join ANOTHER strict order of Force users make any sense?
Sure, do explore and see stuff. OK. But to trade a life she knew for another without any basis on WHY she wants to be a Jedi, who is her inspiration, what tales has she read or heard of that are so compelling to Osha, but not Mae?

The smoke Monster thing isn’t the only thing, Mae is being disintegrated and the Horny witch mom has already attacked. Headland even said that Queen Witch was turning Mae into the force which means Mae was being killed. Sol is more than justified in his actions, he’s compelled by the absolute right of saving a child’s life. Sammy as usual is completely inverting what actually happened because he’s not defending the show, he’s defending Disney and their BS.
