Robert Pattinson was good but this movie is not smart

It's dumb × 1000

The editing is terrible
The acting goes from over the top to wooden
The dialog is written by a third grader
The story is incomprehensible
The sound mixing is the worst I have ever experienced

This is Nolan's M' Night's welcome to reality moment

Let me guess, it's on of those "new modern" movies where you have to turn on close captioning even though in English because of the mumbling and background noise? Good negative review, I like your detail, passion.

You say the story is incomprehensible. This from professional movie critic:

Even for the vaunted director of “Inception” and “Memento,” “Tenet” is heady stuff. Trying to understand the story can make you feel like you’re sitting on a stool in a dunce cap. Full review

The simple fact that they blew up a real 747 in the age of over the top CG means it cant be the worst movie ever. GTFO w//this Skip Bayless level hot take shite.

This movie has people so divided. Some say its the worst movie ever and some say its up there with his best. For me its up there with his best AND the best of all time

Considering the fact that you were criticizing this movie before you ever saw it, I’m not surprised with your hot take. You probably had this post queued up for weeks. And I’m not defending this movie or acting like it’s a great one. But I guess in 2020, everything is either best ever or worst ever, so you’re fitting in quite nicely

Exactly

I can sum up the movie in three sentences

Robert Pattinson = Kyle Reese
Black Dude = John Connor
Blonde Chick = Sarah Connor

Really did not like tenet, but I've seen 3 movies much worse in the 6 days since I saw it.

I think the internet loves big budget mystery action junk, so this will probably live on with the theory reddit crowd.

The bottom line is the idea behind it was inherently simple but told in a very convoluted way with literally the worst audio mixing I have ever heard in a major movie.

I get why people think its a smart movie but it's just terminator told by people who sniff their own farts.

Yeah, and every "emotional" element fails spectacularly. The send off after the climactic action scene had me laughing at the idea that I would possibly give a shite about these people having a "closure" conversation.

Sorry. Trying to be as spoiler-free as possible.

Worst movie ever made might be a tad overkill but I did find it mildly disappointing overall and quite disappointing for a Nolan movie.

I was blown away by the music and the newness of it in the theater because I'm a Christopher Nolan fan. But I will say that I tried to watch it on Cinema at home for a rewatch and was lost even on the 2nd viewing. And that was even after watching YouTube videos that explain the story. I thought that after I got a little side info, then it would make sense on the 2nd viewing and I would catch what I missed the first time. Nope.

On one end of the spectrum you have the cheesy "we're gonna hold your hand through this entire movie" type of film. This film falls on the other end of that spectrum.

By the way, you can barely understand the dialogue in person in the theater. The Cinema version is a cam version of somebody recording the film, and you for goddamn sure can't understand the dialogue. Gonna have to wait for the legit DVD version to come out where I can put subtitles on and pause it every now and then.

I feel like once you get what's being said, it would be an enjoyable film.
