Lesbians won't exactly be a surprise in women's soccer.

Women's soccer is the sport that gets closest to its men's counterpart, so this theoretically could work. That said, I think there are probably fewer female actresses that can pull off athletic competency than men. If they don't cast well, it'll be hard for a lot of people to get past that.

Let's be real here. As far as central themes actual Soccer was way down the list for what Ted Lasso was about.

Bill Lawerence has a dud season here and there but overall he has my trust. At least at some point I know I'll have a lump in my throat and be laughing at the same time.

Bill Lawrence didn’t run season 3.

Hence season 3.

Not sure how involved he’ll be for this one.

Season 3 was the epitome of how wokeness can take away from a show.

The big thing with season 1 was it was a feel good show that everyone could laugh watch and centered on unselfishness and working together.

Season 3 comes out and they hit every leftist cause and make people who aren’t pro unfettered immigration etc to be racists. Definitely lose some of the feel good stuff.

Additionally as season 2 and 3 went on Ted not knowing soccer became completely lazy and selfish. They finally redeemed that at the end but as discussed in season 1 there’s real consequences for the players families and fans because of relegation.

I'm like 4 episodes into season 2 and this thread has makes me want to quit watching it. Ever since season 2 started it feels like it lost its charm somewhat.

2 and 3 are still somewhat worth a watch. It was just disappointing to include that stuff in THAT pushy of a way compared to how it started off almost a bait and switch.

It went from a feel of an underlying theme of “see everyone CAN find something to relate to each other get along” to “everyone can get along if you see it correctly like me” it still was a funny sports show with an underlying sports setting but definitely lost the everyone can feel good coming out side. It went to you can feel good if you have the right think on these issues and if you don’t you should reexamine

This board likes to pretend every show turns into Game of Thrones.

They do it with Ted Lasso, House of the Dragon, and The Mandolorian obsessively.

Season 3 is fine. The final 2 episodes are arguably the best episodes in the entire series.

Thanks for posting the episode score. I thought I was crazy for thinking S3 was better than 2

The Keeley storyline in season 3 was really out of place and I figure that's the reason some of the episodes weren't as good. Seemed weird to add all that while wrapping up the show at the same time.

I guess not as big a deal now since the show isn't done.

The Mandolorian

Had a pretty big drop off from season 2. There is no denying that.

That shows season 2 beginning being close to as good as a lot of season 1. I am not agreeing with that so far. I'm not sure I will stick it out, I don't like where the story seems to be progressing. Especially with getting spoiled with where they are taking season 4 now and knowing what I have to look forward too.

I think a better direction for this show would be him coming back to America to coach football and realizing hes now a fish out of water THERE.

that would be interesting, but I'm sure Jason Sudeikis was involved with the decision to do womens' soccer since he's such a big WNBA guy

Stop trying to make girls sports happen…ugh there hasn’t been a series that started out as fresh and wholesome as Lasso that went completely into the shitter after 1.5 seasons

Why even bother with a 4th season if this is the route they've decided to go. They might get viewers for the first couple of episodes just based off the popularity of the previous seasons, but I just don't see people sticking around to see him coach a women's soccer team. I'm going to go out on a limb and guess they the show will beat the audience over the head with why women's sports are just as exciting and important as men's sports.

They hardly show any actual games being played in the show regardless for obvious reasons. The players are actors not professional athletes.
