I lose interest in shows fast when they start becoming blatantly political in any way. Which makes it hard to watch anything these days. I’ve had to try to put politics aside in most things. I’m gonna try to see this one through
At least we have Jamie and Roys characters. They are still pretty interesting and evolving.

Fun Fact- Keely is the young red head girl from the movie Atonement.

I can handle politics I don’t agree with in shows as long as they don’t beat me over the head. That said it sounds like this season is.

We hadn’t started and my wife won’t let us due to what she’s heard and a few other factors. Disappointing to hear a show that built itself on niceness is tearing itself down.

New episode out. Here’s hoping for better. From the caption seems like there will be some focus on Roy.

Good episode so far.

Some solid jokes.

Some people will hate it.

Finished: great episode

Fantastic episode tonight, back to the feel good narrative that made so many originally like the show so much.

Glad they got back to it as I didn’t care for the last episode.

This one knocked it out the park.

Yea this was the best episode this season by far.

Honestly the way they’re handling Colin makes me even more angry with the Keely bullshite. They’re handling that story about perfect.

This was a pretty tight episode. Sam's middle finger or Will still being invisible in the boot room or Leslie cheering Rebecca as she walks down the hall or Roy calling out his teammate for not coming to the defense of his definitely not hairy arse. Not sure I can pick a favorite scene.

Also with Henry failing science then yeah he is definitely going back to Kansas, but the way Michele was still exasperated with him gives me hope they will not end up back together.

Oh, and yeah, I really love how Jade interacted with Rupert. That non-plussed stare is exactly what he deserves.

Also Beard’s press conference cracked me up.

Really great episode. Agree with the other poster in how can they do the Colin story so well but completely frick up the Keely story. Maybe it’s just the character and actress as the guy playing Colin is doing so perfectly.

As for my favorite part, Roy’s press conference was great and Sam flipping off Jaime made me bust out laughing.

I’ll say this: Colin’s story is his true story.

Keely and Jack is a holding pattern, it’s them filling space in Keely’s life and raising the steaks for Roy. It shows he can’t just hand around and she’ll be available when he figures his shite out.

But Jack sucked

Ted Lasso season ratings 1-10

That’s generous. 2nd Season was more like a 4
Im surprised more didn’t see the writing on the wall in season 2. I havent watched season 3 and skimming this thread I feel justified in my predictions now. With how many are complaining about it I’m surprised more didn’t expect it to go to shite. The on pitch storylines were all but gone from season 2 and the interjection of politics was already there. not surprised to hear they went even further into the sjw storylines and abandoned the sport. After season 1 I remember people predicting the story arc of season 2 would be them going back to the premier league and season 3 theyd return and win it all.

Whoops So much for the feel good show it started off as.

This season is more uneven, but the best episodes are right up with the best of the other seasons.

This scene though... You want this?

Best episode of the season.

Colin’s story is actually great and the end with him and Macadoo where he’s asking him real questions was perfect.

Loved Roy’s press conference and beard screaming at the press guys calling out Jimmy Page was f’ing epic!

Oh and I absolutely hate Rupert!

Sad how low the bar is now that this was best episode of the season, and it’s true it was. It actually got back to the team at least.

But an hour about Colin being gay... riveting

Mcadoo running into the stands because a fan said the word f*ggot

The bar couldn’t be lower if it was a door threshold

Sorry you can’t turn off political bullshite for a minute to see that this was an incredibly good episode. I don’t love the fact that they had a gay character but if they’re gonna go that way they’re handling this perfect. As someone else said they’re just telling a story with Collin. It’s not some ridiculous bullshite that’s just fine out of left field like Keely. It’s serving a purpose and they’ve done a good job of taking it somewhere meaningful.

Also Isaac doing that to defend his friend isn’t out of left field. Especially with the frustration he was feeling. It falls in line with his character pretty well. It’s not like they had Sam or someone just randomly lose their shite.
