Yeah, it’s gone off the rails. It was just milling around so far this season, but the last episode was tucking stupid and pointless.

Everything woke turns to shite.

Isn’t this the last season? So they have 2 weeks to wrap it up?

For starters, it was an entertaining fish-out-of-water romp.
That is not where we are with all the various social justice and visibility for Alphabet People shoehorning that we're currently witnessing.
That said, I have zero complaints with Colin's story, particularly the interaction with Trent Crim. Independent.

I always remember the show fondly but unfortunately they sort of shite the bed this season, last season of GOT style.
Characters have either been nerfed (Roy) are are just stagnant (Ted), and some have been elevated to Superhero status out of nowhere (Jamie).
We have gotten this whole Keely KJPR setting and storyline that nobody really cares about, probably at the expense of the Richmond team actually playing soccer.
I know we are supposed to be suspending disbelief watching the show but certain scenes like the team pillow fight, the locker room conversation about nude photo leaks, and Ted still being a soccer ruhatrd three seasons in is just hard to fathom and insulting to the audience at this point.

I have only watched the first two episodes of this season and let my Apple+ sub lapse but it appears that I have dodged a bullet with the way it is playing out.

for some reason go back with his ex-wife for Henry’s sake, which seems like a terrible idea.
She is the worst character in the show.

This season isn't a total waste, but they've spent more time on non-soccer storylines than they have on the pitch, to be sure.

Brendan Hunt is a huge lib, his Twitter is painful
As bill lawrence became less active in the show, it is apparent that Brendan Hunt stepped up and some of the storylines reflect his views

I feel Like the perception of this season would be different if it wasn’t the last season.
I know I wouldn’t m Mind the detours as much if it didn’t feel like we didn’t have any time for anything but main character story development

Has anyone responsible for the show actually said This is the last season? I know there's been a lot of speculation about it, and this writer's guild strike isn't helping matters any, but I thought there was still one more season to go. I could totally be wrong about that however.

All the buzz around Season 3 of Apple’s Ted Lasso being the hit comedy’s last appears to be accurate. Series star Brett Goldstein all but confirmed as much in a new interview.
“We are writing it like that,” he told the Sunday Times when asked if Season 3 is the end. “It was planned as three. Spoiler alert: Everyone dies.”
Goldstein not plainly saying it is the end leaves the window of opportunity for more, even if it’s not via a fourth season. U.K. series also are well known for dropping occasional one-off Christmas specials.
Executive producer Bill Lawrence spoke to Deadline at the ATX TV Festival on Sunday affirming he is leaving the decision as to when the series, currently in production in the U.K., will wrap to star Jason Sudeikis and the producers.
“The nice part of the show is about people trying to be better,” Goldstein shared with the outlet. “And that’s unusual. Our public discourse [on social media] is terrible. It is now normal for people to be horrible to each other. Our show shouldn’t be as refreshing as it is — that says more about the world it was brought into. I’ve got far more stories about people being lovely than about people being a nightmare.”
He also said the character of Ted, played by Sudeikis, represents “our best selves — he tries to bring out our best selves.”

This quote is poignant as hell.

I've never seen an interview with Brett Goldstein, and I don't think I want to. Not because he isn't interesting or that he doesn't have valid things to say. I just don't want to see him out of character as Roy Kent.

The show is handling that storyline very well, hope it doesn't jump the shark.

But the shoehorning everything else is over the top
