I doubt they’d do this in today’s day and age but I think it would be a fun thing for Rebecca to “My Fair Lady” Keeley. Teach her how to talk properly, give her a posh makeover, etc.

But yeah I don’t think that will happen

Maybe Keeley can ask Rebecca to “My Fair Lady Roy” instead :lol

Basically I want someone on the show to say “The Rain in Spain stays mainly in the plain” correctly for the first time and for Rebecca to go “by George, I think she’s (he’s) got it!”

So are Ted and Rebecca going to end up together?

That would be so lame & disappointing.

Agreed, great episode. One of the best ones of the series. Roy’s reaction to the breath

I think the more likely scenario is that Ted gets together with Rebecca’s best friend in the end.

Yeah it’s too low hanging to put them two together.

Also no way two similar aged good looking divorced professionals hang out that much and not knock boots a few times.

She’d be a nice side piece.

Great episode. Jamie disappeared after the Secret Santa scene. The Breath Smelling scene was great.

My wife and I noticed that. Thought Jamie would show up somewhere at the end especially at the Higgins party.

Why? She’s a fringe character at best and kind of a tart. In this scenario, who does Rebecca end up with?

Clearly, but they may slow it down depending on how long they project the longevity of the show. Who knows how long a movie guy like Sudekis wants to do it. It does seems like they are playing the long game.

I thought I saw some thing about how Sudeikis was only wanting to do three seasons

Jason Sudeikis is Ted Lasso in real life. This is an email he sent a reporter who mentioned he’d lost his Dad while interviewing Sudeikis for his movie Kodachrome. This is in 2017, long before Ted Lasso, but sounds like something Ted would say.

Uproxx article
quote:

Just wanted to shoot ya a quick note and let ya know that I’m so sorry for your loss. And I thank you for feeling comfortable enough with me to share. Please please please feel ZERO regret in doing so.

It’s important and fricking necessary for us human beings to do that. To connect. To share. And to not concern ourselves too much with the outcome of such bravery. Especially the men of the world. Our generation is the first to “understand” that notion, but darn it, I’d love to try and be the first generation of fellas to “live” the notion as well. So let’s both continue to attempt to be on that “side of history,” shall we?

I wish you all the luck and openness in the universe on finding the “four rolls of Kodachrome” your own father left you. Because he did. It’s out there. I know it is.

The one thing I want you to consider though is that it might not be physically “out there”, because it might actually be living inside of you. And through you. And merely accepting that possibility might be where and when the “finding” happens.

You see deeply into things for a living. Allow yourself the experience of doing that to yourself, for yourself.

Okay man. Be well. Always good to see and speak with you.

yours,
Jason

Thought I’d put this in the Ted Lasso thread rather than starting a new one. I wanna hang with this guy.

Watching it now:

A. The breath scene was absolutely hilarious down to Roy saying that he thought she was dying.

B. Teds comment of “that’s what I get for taking a tinkle next to John Holmes” was great too.

Idk about y’all, but I’m saving them in 2 episode chunks, really hard to resist but also makes for a good hour of tv when you do get two back-to-back.

Last two episodes have been awesome. Idk about y’all, but Sassy Smurf is so GD hot to me, not just because she’s genuinely gorgeous but because of how much she owns her filthiness. Damn she could get it.

And that Xmas episode, wow that’s an awesome one and really hit me in the feels as someone who used to live overseas. I used to be so grateful for the families that’s would do what Higgins and his family did. That was such a damn good episode.

The breath smelling scene had me and my gf in tears.

I hate Xmas themed anything on TV or film but that was well done and not totally in your face.

This show is just so damn relaxing to watch. A good de-stressor like peak Scrubs.

The guilt tripping of the classmate at the end was perfection.

I forget where I saw it, but supposedly this episode was filmed after the rest of the season was wrapped, so it wasn't supposed to advance any of the overall plot by design.
