Loved the episode.

Interesting that the doc was absent.
Jamie not showing up at Higgins was a bit of a miss for team bondong/progress (but I understand this episode was done after the season?).

I have a ? for the euro soccer fans/crowd & asking because I purely don't know:
How is this show received by euro soccer fans? An American coming in to coach that doesn't know soccer. Coaching a (albeit fictional) team to relegation & trying to get back up) & it's not "really" about soccer...I imagine if some show about a dude from some euro country coming to coach American football would just tank & not get a chance.

It's basically a modern day version of Coach (respect to Hayden Fox) tugging on our heart strings but with great comedic writing.

Oh & also - I noticed that the Keely chick was in Dark Knight Rises as Selena Kyle's hooker roommate/best friend. Kinda cool.

The British are a grumpy and cynical bunch, so I'm sure they either hate it or scoffing at it at minimum.

I can imagine they are sick of people making the low-hanging fruit "this tea tastes like shite" jokes from non-brits for 100 millionth time

the point of Higgins party was for teammates who were from out of the country with no family to celebrate with during Christmas. Jaime has family.

I forget where I saw it, but supposedly this episode was filmed after the rest of the season was wrapped, so it wasn't supposed to advance any of the overall plot by design.

Yep I heard they filmed a 10-episode season, after which Apple requested 2 additional episodes, this one is one of them.

Doesn’t he just have the 1 shitty dad? Thought I remember him making a comment about his dad disowning him after he left Man City. Feels like he just wasn’t available to film for much time and that’s why he was cut out

The latest episode may be my favorite of the season.

His mom is in his life. She is why he plays soccer - to make her proud.

So Ted and Rebecca?

I don’t know how I feel about that.

If Brett Goldstein doesn't win an Emmy for playing Roy Kent I'm going to break something

This is the show of the epidemic for positive people!

Another great episode.

Nate jealousy vs Roy?

Do Rebecca and Ted hook up?

How does Roy effect the team and Jaime?

Story lines are set up for a good old fashioned sitcom for genXers.

So Ted and Rebecca
hopefully it's another misdirect.

It would totally kill the tone of the show if they do the ups and downs of awkward dating with Ted and Rebecca.

I was a little worried about season 2 after the first episode, but this season has been great so far.
