I'm sure I'm more liberal than most folk here, and my Twitter timeline reflects that. But I'm utterly baffled at the mass hate towards Green Book and outrage that BP / BlacKkKlansman etc. didn't win. I quite enjoyed Green Book and I'm glad it won.

Honestly as a liberal how do people like yourself sit back and watch this shitshow and say I am so glad my party represents this bunch also? From the race baiting media all the way to that thing called Hollywood. I will hang up and listen. BTW thanks for being honest on your intial response.

Malek winning was also silly. I may be biased as I had to listen to Queen music while watching him act.

It's impossible to do a movie about Queen and Freddie Mercury justice without lip synching the vocals. Mercury's voice was just too unique and powerful.

Wow.

While he didn’t take the stage like Kanye West did years ago on the MTV Video Music Awards when Taylor Swift won an award that he felt should have gone to Beyonce, BlacKkKlansman director Spike Lee did the next best thing when the Best Picture Oscar was won by Green Book. Our Pete Hammond, reporting from the Dolby Theatre, reported that Lee was clearly furious, got up and walked toward the back of the auditorium in a huff. He then turned back and appeared to get into an intense conversation with Jordan Peele, who was behind him. Lee paced the aisle and stormed to the back of the auditorium. When he came back, he turned his back to the stage during the speech.

Didn't help he looked like a fricking alien at the beginning of the movie. I know Freddy had a overbite but my god he looked like that thing from the tank that won the award a few years back.

He was robbed before he ever showed up by not being nominated for Best Director. The live music performance scenes alone were worth at least a nomination and he was easily the best actor. Sam Elliott was also robbed for Best Supporting Actor.

Green Book was by no means a bad movie. It deserved the nomination, but it did not deserve the win.

frick Spike Lee I hope that race baiting POS never wins. He represents everything that is wrong with this country and proved that with his actions tonight. Spike Lee a victim again. Sound familiar
