I didn't get to watch much of the show, but Olivia Colman's reaction to winning is an all-timer. So awesome.

Sure BP was entertaining but I thought the Captain America a few years back was better. I mean should I have gotten pissed because it wasn't even nominated?

I could be wrong, but from what I’ve seen its people mad that Green Book won because of what they think the movie is portraying. Not that black panther didn’t win

Black Panther was an above average Marvel movie, but it wasn't even the best Marvel movie in 2018.

I said it earlier, but it’s hollywood’s fault for even nominating it in the first place. Got the townspeople riled up for nothing. This was a predictable reaction

LOL, probably. Pretty much any punk or hard rock show I went to in Houston in the 90s you'd see at least a couple of them walking around in their costumes waiting for someone to bump into them or say something. I'm convinced that the growth in popularity of full-sleeve tattoos among middled aged blue collar guys has a lot to do with covering up their old swastika and confederate flag tattoos.

And you know what probably half the people on twitter bitching haven't even seen the movie. You know why they are bitching because people like spike lee, these liberal whack movie critics, etc.decide to put their spin on it and take a really good movie and use it to push their hate agenda.

Dudes, Green Book is bad. It's so long, it double-dips on its southern atrocities, and it acts like it's solving racism. Many people complaining probably haven't seen it, but I'd never recommend they do. This is the worst best picture choice since the king's speech, maybe since crash. In five years, we will all laugh at this win, while wondering how any of the nominees were nominated.
Eta: also,no one thought black panther would win. Why are some of you inventing or playing into a made-up narrative?

Dude, it’s anything but bad. You can argue that it’s not the best of the year, but it’s far from bad.

The point is people making this a race thing are a step above children. “Bad” films win all the time. The last good movie to win was probably 12 years a slave, but apparently that one is too white as well.

I seriously have no idea what you are talking about, The King's Speech was a great movie.

Actors vote for marginal artistic movies just so they can keep making them.
Otherwise it's just gonna be comic-con all day long at the Oscars in the future.
Studios only want to make blockbusters which makes sense, they are not in the entertainment business, they are in the money-making business.
Hollywood actors hate that. They are the arts, Hollywood is for the arts, they're artists. Nah.
So they vote for the little film that probably shouldn't have gotten made.
Actors make a deal with the devil. A lot come to Hollywood wanting to pursue "their craft" but end up just making crap - that sells a lot of tickets.
Every actor you ever see in an interview, they're always talking about some small side project or small picture that is their passion.
It's no surprise they vote for films most people will never see...and these films winning will get them seen and force studios to keep making them.
Actors get shite on a lot but they actually want to make good films.
It's the studios that only care about the bottom line and would film someone taking a dump for 2 hours (ala Andy Warhol) if they thought it would be a blockbuster.

Oh, like the part when the king stutters? Or is it great in that other part when the king stutters but the score builds to create emotion in the viewer?

It's called acting. And yes, there are many brilliant scenes in that movie. Such as:
Childhood Memories
I have a voice!
Colin Firth and Geoffrey Rush were brilliant in that film. It was definitely one of the best movies of 2010 and well-deserving of the accolades it received.
