That’s a lot going on. Will be interested to see how much they unpack before release. I kinda wish some of the reveals were kept secret, hoping there’s more they’ll keep for theaters

For better or worse it definitely feels way more like a comic book than Man of Steel did (which seems to get better every time I rewatch it)

Bunch of whiny bitches in this thread. I think it looks good and I like how it isn’t some dark depressing take on a superhero.

Same here. Heck, I find all of the Superman movies (well, maybe not the one with nuclear man or whatever he was called in it)... included Superman Returns... that had the best portrayal of Superman's power of any Superman movie, ever - the plane saving scene... enjoyable, for what they are - Comic book superhero movies. They aren't going to win Best Motion picture awards. Just watch the movie and be entertained. That's what movies are for, isn't it?

Trailer looks good to me for the most part. Superman and Lois Lane are cast well. Not sure about the dog.

I don't mind Krypto... but... I was thinking he'd be... bigger. A White Labrador, to be exact.

I loved how Morrison and Quietely showed Clark as this hulking intellectual doofus with zero social skills. He went so much further than “mild-mannered reporter”.

how many times is DC gonna reboot their universe

The comics seem to completely reboot about once a decade now, because nothing really sells like it should. When Dan Didio was running the publishing side, he was constantly bitching about reprint collections from the 40's through the 80's outselling all of the new stuff. He just couldn't understand why. Which is why he was pushed out. But Warner keeps hiring "edgy" types to run and write/draw the comics, and so you have failure after failure, reboot after reboot. And people keep buying anthologies of the old stuff that they loved instead of "reimagining's" of Gay Green Lantern and his transsexual sidekick. For fans, the beatings will continue until sales improve.

if the first shot DBZ reference is an indicator, it's going to be campy. Maybe this is what DC needs to pull their franchises out of the darkness they found themselves in.

Kinda wish they'd used a Black Labrador just for the lulz.

It's hilarious that there are several responses saying this looks like a CW show when there is an actual CW Superman show and this looks nothing like it.

Hence why I called it a "CW parody". Downvote away since I didn't take your bait earlier

I’m going out on a limb here, but I’m going to guess that neither Superman or his enemies will die and there will be zero resolution.

Same. Gunn took a little creative license and fashioned his Krypto after his own dog.

If he gives us a good Superman movie, I can forgive that slight self-indulgence.

What gave you the impression that it was going to be campy? Was it the fact that the dog has a cape?

Hoult is going to crush as Lex. He was awesome in The Order

Luthor needs to have palpable menace and seems to be a tad older than Superman. Not sure Hoult is gonna pull that off.

He's too old for the part now, but Gene Simmons did a movie years back where he played a bald villain (in prison), and the first thing I thought was "Wow, there's Lex Luthor". Too bad there's no one like him out there now.
