Knightwing
Gunn definitely needs to bring in Nightwing. It's crazy he's never gotten his own film. He's an amazing character.

I think we need to just focus on what both have already built. They both have their own worlds already. Throwing it together too soon could destroy something good.

Might hit 120 this weekend. Getting good exit reviews

Alright, should they merge Reeves' Batman with this or not?
Imagine watching Farrell’s brutal rise to power as the Penguin only for him to get apprehended by Krypto. That is what you are asking for.
I could be wrong but I think the plan was to introduce Damien Wayne too. I can’t see BatPat as his father or established enough to have previous Robins since we saw him last in The Batman.

China, which used to be 20-30% of overseas, is down to pennies for most films. I am told, a lot changed there in 2022 culturally, with cinemagoing spiralling down, especially Hollywood.
Then there are mkts like Korea, which are ruined by streaming to an extreme, some to a lesser extent, like India.
Local movies' share has also increased in SEA.
Russia is a no-go due to the war.
Only LATAM is operating at normalcy and that is where we are seeing best numbers Post-CoVID

I just got out and here are my two cents too.
Like most have said, there was as much bad as good. The best part was the whole cast. Top to bottom, I felt the cast was great. Honestly, the only castings I had issues with was Bradley Cooper as Jor-El and the Kents. Cooper just felt out of place but I’m not sure if the Kents were badly casted or if it was just that badly written. Superman and Lois were two of the top at their roles.
I would say that the bad was the plot in general. I didn’t mind Ultraman but the fact that Luther could vocalize fight moves while two supermen were fighting seemed out of reality to me. Seems like the two would be moving faster than anyone could comprehend. Luther was cartoonish in his boldness with no consequences until the very end. Not sure how he would ever be on the board again after everyone knows he destroyed half the city and enprisoned a mountain of people in another universe.
I loved Krypto. I’m a dog person and I loved the interaction between he and Superman. I liked the fact that it really was just a dog sitting situation for a well cast supergirl.
Overall, the movie was a C+ for me but it left everything in place to set up some great world building around it all.

That was just a fun movie. There were definitely things I didn’t like, as in making his parents morons (At least at first, they did give his Dad actual words eventually), the CGI porn with the pocket universe and his clone (the clone fighting was particularly bad), but I enjoyed Lex Luthor, Lois was great, and I just enjoyed the overall tonal shift from the Snyder movies.
And most of all, my kids really enjoyed. My youngest immediately got home and found a white dog stuffed animal and made him a cape and is now running around the house playing Krypto.

Making kids like Superman again was needed so badly for the character

Just got out a while ago. Was a lot better than I thought. All the characters were great. I think this may be my favorite Superman movie. Best Lex Luthor for sure. I even liked the dog. The Justice Gang was great. And the cherry on top even though just a small cameo, Peacemaker!
As word of mouth gets out, this thing is going to make an arse load of money.

Part of what makes Smallville my favorite Superman property is how they touch on how different/difficult his life is because of his powers and his secret and this movie tapped into that.

The Peacemaker cameo was excellent.

I just got out and loved it. It was 100% a Gunn movie and his style has always been great.
I saw nothing woke, Superman's speech at the end was just about being human. All that crazy woke crap that was being reported was crap, and I'd be the first to criticize it.
I thought I'd hate bowl cut GL, but i loved that character.

I also think that’s the point. Even though he was destined to be Homelander, his Earth parents influence and choices made him freaking Superman.
Aka Goku’s storyline in Dragon Ball Z
Good movie. Everyone did great, cast-wise.
I kinda wished Lex Luther had more gravitas and was less emotional. After watching it, I am shocked Gunn didn't recruit one of his best friends, Michael Rosembaum to be Luther.

Yeah, he's basically a baw.

Just watched. I don't know how they could have made a better Superman movie. I think the criticism that the people turn on Superman too quickly is legit, but I understand that they had a lot of material to cover. They more than made up for that minor criticism.
I do not agree that Ma and Pa Kent were handled poorly. They are, rightly, the true heroes, and were shown as such.
I even liked the Krypto inclusion, and was sure I would hate that.

Also just got out. That was fricking awesome. If you didn’t enjoy it to some degree, you never wanted to.

Same. I thought it was going to be really stupid. Hell, I thought the whole movie was going to be stupid. I should have trusted Gunn. The dude knows how to put together a great cinematic experience with music.
The music was nowhere as strong as Guardians, but I don't think you can repeat that lightning in a bottle.
DC finally got one right in this version of Superman. I actually like Cavil Superman and I think they did him wrong, but this Superman was also great.
I can say, I kept waiting for him to just start straight kicking the piss out of everything, but I'm kinda glad they didn't do that with him.
