Porkies

j/k, thats for later.

Moonrise Kingdom was good and the main characters (besides Edward Norton) are 12ish so should hit the age bracket.

Guess I am a little confused about sheltered from content. Not trying to be an arse, just don’t know what that means

Mom is overprotective of what our kids are exposed to. I was watching whatever I wanted when I was like 6. Hell, I had seen Alien and Aliens before age 10. T2 as well. Saw Jurassic Park at 10 in the theater.

My wife watched nothing. Comes from a strict, strict Catholic background and upbringing.

So it’s been a dance that she’s won for most of his life. We’ve snuck in action (Marvel for instance) when she’s not paying attention. I don’t think she realized the amount of violence in them but thought them cartoonish enough to not look into it.

Sore point of my marriage but whatever.

Every kid needs to have watched all three Back to the Futures by middle school. And Jurassic Park.

Thank god he's at least seen The Sandlot.

Introduce him to a classic old school western too. The Magnificent Seven would be a good one.

I appreciate your honesty. As a father, I would highly recommend you start to “flex” quite a bit more for your son’s sake. It’s your responsibility to raise him into a man. Don’t let your wife control your son.

Agree with all movies named. Throw in Butch Cassidy & the Sundance Kid, Cool Hand Luke, The Natural, Cannonball Run & Smokey & The Bandit.
